Andaleeb became tensed for a moment. None showered her with this much adoration ever. Bi Jan's eyes became wet seeing this new yet important addition to their family. Masab's mother and sister were equally good to her. They welcomed her with a wide smile and excitement, specifically as his sister was involved. And Andaleeb was forced to act gently and equally well with them just because of that specific fear. It all felt like a fabrication. Like lava was building inside her, like these were all wolves hiding in human skin, ready to pound over her, but she was helpless.
The loving and supporting nature of Bi Jan reminded her of her late grandmother who died when she was just seven years old. She was very much similar to Bi Jan. Andaleeb was quite closer to her grandmother. Maybe she was more comfortable with her than her parents. There were a few instances where she believed that if she became a part of this family, maybe there was something that should have happened. Why did all the people look genuine and real to her? Yet sometimes she couldn't stop her instinctual rudeness and dryness in her tone. That was noticed well by everyone but in front of her family, they chose not to speak.
Andaleeb was bound to act nicely with everyone around just because she cared for Aurang's sister's life.
Masab placed a palm over the small of her back as he led her towards the dining hall. When he first did it, it erupted delicious tingles in her stomach at their little contact. It made her recall their passionate night together. However, at the same time, it aggravated Andaleeb for her to react this pleasantly to his touch every time. Why couldn't she stop herself from getting attracted to him?
His hand never slipped from her back as she met her own and his family members. She thought that he was maybe doing it to give the impression to everyone that she was here as his wife. He brought her into his life and home with respect, and everyone should give her honor as regards being the only daughter-in-law of this mansion.
Why did these things always win over her heart and make a comparison of Masab and Aurang in her heart where the latter was always at a loss?

After breakfast, she led Daneen to her room to talk to her without any hurdles. Fariha sat with the other women, and it gave them the perfect opportunity to open their hearts to each other. How Daneen was doing? How Mohid was behaving with her? Did she accept this new change in life? Did she forget Zaroon as she did in her case with Aurang? That made a shiver run down her spine. How easily did she give Aurang's place in her life to Masab? Daneen accepting Mohid in comparison to her ex-fiance would be fine and not as peculiar and disgusting as it was when she fell into Masab's trap, the same guy who took the life of the one she loved.
She led Daneen to her room. It had been a while since she saw her, and now a feeling of longing and guilt seeped in her heart. Andaleeb didn't know how to start the conversation with her. Whatever happened to her sister occurred because of her. By the gentle aura and vibe of Daneen, she couldn't tell whether she was angry at her or not. Daneen was always the calmest and sweeter one among the two. This soothing aura was a characteristic of Daneen. However, if she came here, that meant that she must have understood him.
"Your room is beautiful. In fact, the whole mansion is beautiful, Masha Allah," Daneen commented, looking around the room.
Their bedroom was still giving the inkling of the room decorated for wedding purposes with the garlands over the bed and a fragrance of roses. However, at the same time, it reminded Andaleeb of the inevitable night. In front of Daneen, the embarrassment and guilt increased more.
Her insides clenched with the effect as she closed the door behind them. Daneen was happy in her home because she accepted this sham of a marriage with Masab. Daneen wouldn't have to worry about anything because she was out of the question for her husband. Her family was relieved because Andaleeb was with her husband. Aurang's sister was safe and sound because of her lie of a happy marriage with Masab. So many people were protected because she accepted all this. She wouldn't ruin for them now.
"What can you expect from these people who consider wealth their everything? They give their blood and sweat to these worldly things so that people can worship them God forbid," she murmured, walking over to Daneen.
Daneen raised a brow before she placed a hand over her shoulder. "You didn't have to accept that, Andaleeb. You had us. You shouldn't have vowed down in front of these vile people. Most importantly in front of a man who dishonored you."
She swallowed thickly at this. None of this was true. Masab always respected her physical boundaries. Last night she wanted everything as much as he wanted. However, he gave a wrong impression when he sent her to her house so that they would send her back to him without any fuss. That particular thing was what the cause of the poison spewing from Daneen's mouth. Her innocent sister didn't even know that she was forced to do all this because of her sake and because her family sold her like property to this man who honored her ironically.
Andaleeb shook her head. "Everything was inevitable, Dani. I couldn't have fought again. I am fine now. I don't want to become a nuisance for all of you now. I don't want to become a burden for my family now."
Daneen gasped. "How can you be a burden for all of us? We love you, Andaleeb, and we would have fought for you if you had given us a chance. You didn't have to accept a kidnapper, blackmailer, and worst, a man who forced you."
Many tears accumulated in her eyes at this as she again hugged Daneen helplessly. She suddenly got an urge to tell her the reality. Daneen really didn't hate her because she thought Andaleeb was a victim. But it was the opposite. She didn't care for anyone when she was so blinded by her love for Aurang. She didn't care for her family's dignity and her sister's life. If she would tell her that she fled the house for Aurang and that was why Daneen had to become Mohid's replaced wife, she would definitely hate her. And she deserved this hate. They considered her to be someone who was humiliated by Masab but that wasn't the case. Last night she gave herself to her kidnapper with full consent. And she liked to be with him. The intensity got so prounouced that she wished to really tell Daneen the truth but then abruptly, Aurang's sister's face came in front of her.
She didn't deserve this darkness.
"A girl like me has no options. Our parents are at least relieved to see me breathing in this house; I'll consider this a blessing for me. Leave it and tell me that you aren't angry at me, Dani. You don't hate me for what happened to you with me. Right?" She said, impatiently as she broke the hug, wiping her cheeks fervently.
Daneen cupped her cheeks. "Why would I be angry, Andaleeb? That wasn't your fault."
She smiled weakly. "Baba did. Baba hated me because he thought I fled with my lover. You must have disliked me for doing this with you. You liked the idea of marriage with Zaroon Bhai. I am so sorry, Dani, for whatever happened to you."
Daneen bit her lip in anxiety. "Don't get me wrong. I really first thought that you fled with Aurang. The guy you loved and wanted to marry. As a rapid and sudden reaction, I did want to hold you questionable for doing all this without caring for me. I wasn't in opposition to you marrying for love. That was your basic right and I wished I could have done anything for you. I could have appeased Baba and Mama for your marriage with Aurang. But I did want to ask you at that time if it was that insignificant for you to make your decision without caring what impact they would have on me. I liked Zaroon. I accepted him as my potential husband but I had no hard feelings for him. I would have moved on. With Mohid's help, I really moved on from him. But when I got to know what happened to you, I felt guilty and angry at myself for even thinking like that. You didn't deserve to become the victim of someone's obsession and infatuation. You deserve the best, and this guy is the worst. I wish I could do something for you, Andaleeb. I am sorry for being so weak."
That was the time when Andaleeb again felt immense hatred for herself. If Daneen knew the reality, she would despise her. And that was what she really deserved.
She nudged her fingers in apprehension. "How's Mohid's behavior with you?"
