He smiled fervently and held the back of her head before kissing her lips passionately. He pushed her more closer to him by snaking an arm around her waist. Within no time, he made a way inside her mouth. This kiss was like a fire, a hot and scorching one. She cupped one of his taut shoulders as he kissed the living hell out of her mouth, giving her no relief.

God, why did this man have to be so good in everything he did?

However, soon, she lacked oxygen to breathe because of this mind-blowing kiss and sought her mouth to get freed from Masab's hold by pushing his chest. But he resisted, slightly stroking her exposed arms fervently. Andaleeb couldn't hold it anymore and she bit on his lower lip for him to set her free. Masab's hold over her lips and head never lessened as well as his sweet torture over her arms in all this while. Soon, her biting made him hiss, and she felt a metallic taste in her mouth, which was later followed by Masab really pulling away from her.

He was smiling widely even though his lip was bleeding from her continuous resistance to their kiss. "See? I will always remember this as my present for loving a feral lioness like you who bites, yells, and hurts mercilessly."

She shook her head while shoving his chest. "You are insane."

Andaleeb grabbed the towel and wrapped it around her body as she walked out of the washroom. Maybe that was enough of a shower for her for now.

"Only for you." She heard Masab say this and she could only roll her eyes at him while her heart beat at a different intensity at realizing whatever had happened. She didn't like hurting him now. She didn't know why he had to do this to prove his love for her. If he knew that his eyes would be so vocal about his feelings for her, he would be on cloud nine. Someone could love her this deeply, selflessly, and fearlessly she never knew.

Standing in front of the wardrobe, her eyes became more bored and irritated finding so many heavy and colorful dresses which she was supposed to wear for her first day as a new bride. She totally disliked such stuff, and hearing them today was a totally far-fetched thing. Getting disappointed by everything, Andaleeb moved over to her own suitcase and took out a casual violet-colored simple dress from it. That was a cotton maxi dress that would reach her ankles with intricate silver-colored work over its top. She matched her look with white tops, a delicate bracelet, and white high heels. Letting her hair free to fall over her back, she applied a bit of nude makeup to give a natural look to herself.

Her stare flitted over to that necklace she got from Masab as her wedding present. Instinctively, she raised her hand as she tried to remove it, but something in her heart halted her movement. Why now thinking about Masab warmed up her heart instead of feeling anger? Where did all the hatred go?

Andaleeb grabbed her phone with the hope of finding any notification showing Daneen's name on her screen, but as usual, nothing was there. She wondered if her sister was happy in her life or not. How Mohid would be treating her? Along with other issues, whatever happened to Daneen because of her haunted her the most. Suddenly, a notification popped up, and what was there for her to see was totally unexpected. That was a reminder that she had set for today. 18 March was the day she began dating Aurang and today marked their fourth anniversary as a couple. She had totally forgotten about it. And ironically just a day before their anniversary, she betrayed him.

Andaleeb felt nothing by his new information. She wanted to find any pang of sadness for him in her heart but there was none. Maybe she, too, had become heartless by living with this heartless man. Or perhaps Masab was right that she never loved Aurang, and the people who went under the soil were easily forgotten by the ones who roam above the soil.
