4 | Fun school day |

Start from the beginning

After leaving the store, they decided to head to a nearby park. It was a quiet spot, tucked away behind the trees, and they found a bench near a small pond. The air was cooler now, the breeze soft and refreshing. They sat down side by side, quietly enjoying their snacks and the serene surroundings.

"I can't believe you beat me at volleyball," Yeonjun said with a small laugh, nudging Beomgyu's shoulder.

Beomgyu grinned, popping a piece of candy into his mouth. "Told you I was better," he teased.

Yeonjun feigned hurt, clutching his chest dramatically. "I'll get my revenge next time," he declared.

"Oh, please, you'll be too busy staring at me to win," Beomgyu shot back, leaning in a little closer.

Yeonjun's lips curled into a smirk. "You're right," he admitted softly, his eyes meeting Beomgyu's. There was a warmth there, something soft and unspoken that made Beomgyu's heart flutter.

For a moment, they just sat there, staring into each other's eyes as the world seemed to slow down around them. The sounds of the park faded away, and all that mattered was the space between them—the way Beomgyu's hand inched toward Yeonjun's, their fingers brushing slightly before Beomgyu laced them together.

"You know," Yeonjun murmured, his voice low and warm, "I think today might be my favorite day so far."

Beomgyu smiled, a soft, shy smile that Yeonjun adored. "Mine too," he replied quietly. "You always make everything feel better, Jun."

Yeonjun's heart melted at those words, and without thinking, he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to Beomgyu's lips. It was soft and sweet, just like everything else about this day. When he pulled back, Beomgyu's eyes fluttered open, and a faint blush spread across his cheeks.

"I love you," Yeonjun whispered, his hand still holding Beomgyu's tightly.

"I love you too," Beomgyu replied, leaning his head on Yeonjun's shoulder.

They sat there for a while longer, just enjoying each other's company as the sun began to set. The sky turned shades of pink and orange, casting a beautiful glow over the park. It felt like they were in their own little world, where nothing could touch them, and everything was perfect.

Eventually, Yeonjun stood up, pulling Beomgyu with him. "Come on," he said with a grin. "Let's keep walking. We've still got the rest of the day ahead of us."

Beomgyu smiled, nodding as he laced his fingers with Yeonjun's again. "Lead the way."

They wandered through the park, stopping occasionally to admire the flowers or watch the ducks by the pond. Every so often, Yeonjun would pull Beomgyu into a quick hug, or Beomgyu would bump Yeonjun's hip with his playfully, laughing together as they continued their stroll.

Eventually, they ended up at a small hill that overlooked the city. It wasn't a grand view, but there was something calming about it. They sat down side by side on the grass, watching the lights of the city start to twinkle as the sky grew darker.

"This is nice," Beomgyu said softly, resting his head on Yeonjun's shoulder again. "I don't want today to end."

Yeonjun smiled, wrapping an arm around Beomgyu's shoulders and pulling him closer. "It doesn't have to end yet," he whispered. "We've still got time."

And so they sat there, watching as the stars appeared one by one in the sky, feeling perfectly content in each other's arms. It was one of those rare moments where everything felt right—where they could just be together, without any worries or distractions. In that moment, Yeonjun and Beomgyu knew they were exactly where they were meant to be: together, happy, and in love.
