"Of course I am! Baking's a bonding experience," Yeonjun said dramatically, tossing a bag of flour onto the counter. "Plus, it's more fun when I get to do it with you."
Beomgyu shook his head but couldn't help smiling at Yeonjun's enthusiasm. "Alright, Chef Yeonjun, where do we start?"
"Well, first, we need to mix the flour and sugar," Yeonjun said confidently, grabbing the measuring cups.
Beomgyu moved closer, standing next to Yeonjun as they began mixing the ingredients together. It didn't take long before Yeonjun, with a mischievous glint in his eye, "accidentally" flicked a bit of flour at Beomgyu.
Beomgyu gasped, staring at the small cloud of flour that had landed on his shirt. "Did you just—"
Before he could finish, Yeonjun grinned innocently. "Oops?"
"Oh, you're gonna regret that," Beomgyu said with a playful smirk, grabbing a handful of flour and tossing it at Yeonjun in retaliation.
Soon enough, what was supposed to be a peaceful baking session turned into a full-on flour fight. Both of them were laughing uncontrollably, covered head to toe in flour, as they chased each other around the kitchen.
Eventually, out of breath and giggling, they both collapsed onto the floor, sitting side by side. Yeonjun leaned his head against Beomgyu's shoulder, still smiling. "I think we made more of a mess than cookies," he admitted, laughing softly.
Beomgyu nodded, wiping a streak of flour from Yeonjun's cheek. "But it was fun."
Yeonjun gazed at Beomgyu for a moment, his heart swelling with affection. "You know, you're the best," he said, his voice soft but sincere.
Beomgyu looked up at him, his cheeks flushed, either from the laughter or from the way Yeonjun was looking at him. "So are you, Jun."
Yeonjun leaned in slowly, pressing a soft kiss to Beomgyu's lips, their laughter and flour-filled chaos fading into the background as they shared the sweet moment.
When they finally pulled away, Yeonjun grinned. "Now, how about we actually make those cookies?"
Beomgyu chuckled. "Only if you promise not to start another flour war."
"I can't make any promises," Yeonjun teased, standing up and pulling Beomgyu to his feet.
With flour still covering the counters, they got back to baking, this time managing to mix everything without another flour explosion. As they worked, the kitchen filled with the sweet scent of cookie dough, and both of them couldn't help sneaking a few bites as they shaped the cookies.
Once the cookies were in the oven, they both collapsed onto the couch, cuddling up as they waited for them to bake. Yeonjun wrapped his arms around Beomgyu, pulling him close. "This has to be one of the best mornings ever," he murmured, kissing the top of Beomgyu's head.
Beomgyu smiled, nuzzling against Yeonjun's chest. "It really is."
As the cookies baked and the warm scent filled the room, they stayed cuddled up together, feeling content and happy in each other's arms. Beomgyu rested his head against Yeonjun's shoulder, closing his eyes and savoring the peaceful moment.
