It was messy, uncoordinated—Beomgyu was drunk, after all—but it was real. And for that brief moment, nothing else mattered.
Yeonjun's grip tightened around Beomgyu's waist, steadying him as the younger boy swayed slightly in his arms. Beomgyu's breathing was shallow, his face flushed not from only the alcohol but from the kiss that just happened. His lips were still parted, eyes barely open as he leaned against Yeonjun, but the heat between them was unmistakable.
Yeonjun tried to shake off the haze in his mind, but the weight of Beomgyu's body pressed against him and the memory of their kiss kept pulling him deeper. His hands hovered over Beomgyu's waist, unsure of what to do next.
But when Beomgyu's eyes fluttered open, his dark gaze and searching, Yeonjun's control snapped.
Before he could stop, Yeonjun closed the small distance between them, his lips crashing back against Beomgyu's with a sudden, fierce need. Beomgyu let out a small gasp in surprise but quickly melted into the kiss, his fingers clutching at Yeonjun's shirt, pulling him closer.
The kiss was different this time—hungrier, more desperate. Yeonjun's hand slipped into Beomgyu's hair, tugging slightly as he titled Beomgyu's head back, deepening the kiss. Their lips loved together in a rhythm that was both chaotic and perfect, and every brush of their mouths igniting a fire neither of them could put out.
Beomgyu whimpered into the kiss, his body trembling slightly as he pressed harder against Yeonjun's chest, clinging to him as if he were the only thing to keeping him grounded. Yeonjun groaned softly, the sound vibrating between them as he pushed Beomgyu gently against the wall, their body now flush together.
The hallway around them started to disappear. All that mattered was the heat between them, the way Beomgyu's lips parted for him, the taste of alcohol lingering but shading as Yeonjun's lips grew more urgent. Beomgyu responded just as much need, his hands sliding up to cup the back of Yeonjun's neck, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them.
Yeonjun pulled back for just a moment, their breaths mingling as they stared at each other, both of them panting. Beomgyu's lips were red and swollen from the kiss, his eyes hazy but filled with something that made Yeonjun's heart pound even harder, he didn't want to stop. He couldn't.
"Yeonjun..." Beomgyu's gvoice was breathless whisper, his eyes searching Yeonjun's as if asking for something he couldn't put into words.
Yeonjun swallowed hard, his fingers gently brushing Beomgyu's cheek as he leaned in again, presaging his lips to Beomgyu's with a softness that surprised them both. This kiss wasn't like the others—it was slower, deeper, filled with something Yeonjun bad been holding back for too long.
When he pulled away, Beomgyu was looking up at him, his lips parted in silent question. Yeonjun's heart was racing, his mind spinning, but he knew he couldn't keep it inside any longer.
"Beomgyu..." Yeonjun's voice was barely above a whisper, but it carried all the weight of his feelings. His hand trembled slightly as he cupped Beomgyu's face, forcing him to meet his gaze. "I—" He hesitated, his heart pounding in his chest. "I can't keep pretending anymore."
Beomgyu blinked, the confusion in his eyes giving way to something softer, something warmer. "Pretending what?"
Yeonjun exhaled shakily, his thumb brushing gently over Beomgyu's cheek. "That I don't have feelings for you. That every time I'm around you, I don't want this." His voice broke slightly as he gestured between them. "That I haven't wanted you for longer than I can remember."
Beomgyu's breath hitched, his eyes widening in shock. "Yeonjun, I—"
But Yeonjun shook his head, cutting him off gently. "I know you're drunk, and maybe you'll forget all of this tomorrow. But I need you to know." His voice softened, eyes searching Beomgyu's. "I've been in-love with you for a long time."
The words hung in the air between them, thick and heavy, as Beomgyu started at him, lip trembling. For a moment, neither of them moved, the weight of a Yeonjun's confession sinking in.
Then, without warning, Beomgyu surged forward, crashing his lips against Yeonjun's in a kiss so fierce it left them both breathless. Yeonjun's back hir the wall his time, Beomgyu pressing onto him with a passion Yeonjun had never seen I. Him before.
Beomgyu pulled back, gasping for air, his forehead resting against Yeonjun's. "You're such an idiot," he whispered, his voice shaky. "How could you not know I feel the same?"
Yeonjun's breath caught in his throat, his eyes widening as the words registered. "You... what?"
Beomgyu laughed softly, his fingers brushing through Yeonjun's hair as he pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. "I've been in love with you, too. Probably just as long."
Yeonjun's heart skipped a beat, and for the first time in what felt like forever, everything made sense. He didn't need to hold back anymore. He didn't need to pretend.
Without another word, Yeonjun pulled Beomgyu into his arms, kissing him again, softer this time, but no less full of feeling. The kiss was filled with everything they'd been holding back, every unsaid word and hidden glance, and it felt like the beginning of something neither of them had expected—but had wanted all along.
