"Hoorain!" Masab reprimanded her. "This time you talked like that. Next time I won't tolerate any bad word against my wife from anyone. Now you can leave."

Hoorain's eyes widened in shock. "What? Your wife?"

Masab nodded. "You heard it right, Hoorain. I married the woman I love."

Hoorain clenched her teeth angrily. How could he do this with her? "You can't do that to me, Shah. You can't do this injustice to me. I have been sitting on your name for a lot of years, and that's how you are going to treat me."

Masab turned towards her and folded his arms over his chest. "First of all, Hoorain, that I never asked you to wait for me. You were never my mandate officially. I never confirmed to any of our parents that I would marry you. If you waited for me, then that's not my problem. I asked you to stop yourself a lot of months ago as well. Now you can't blame me."

"Taya Sayen and Bi Jan will never accept that. They will fight for my right. You sabotaged my right, Shah. That girl robbed me like that. Bi Jan will never allow her in this house," Hoorain burst out in fury.

His mind went away from what Hoorain was saying when he found a name glowing on the screen of his phone. "We'll see that in future, Hoorain."

He couldn't get to react to anything when Hoorain dropped her in his arms, tightly hugging him. "I love you, Shah. I love you so much. Please don't do this to me. I have always dreamt of your companionship. Don't take this right from me. I just need your name and your companionship, Shah. Don't disregard my love like this."

Disgruntle washed over Masab's veins at her abrupt attempt. He quickly pulled her away from himself. "Don't try that again, Hoorain. You should leave now by yourself before I force you to leave."

Many tears fell from Hoorain's eyes but they did nothing to Masab. He never loved her and never showed her dreams. Even he never correctly told his mother about this proposal. He waited for the right time for his marriage, and he would have married Hoorain if he hadn't come across Andaleeb. But that didn't mean Hoorain should blame him for something he never did. He never confirmed that he would marry Hoorain. His family didn't know his repulsion for love anyway.

It was their parents' fault to give Hoorain dreams like this. However, he was more focused on the phone call he was getting. What had happened that he was made to notice that name on his screen?

Hoorain stared at him with blubbering eyes before finally leaving the room. He took a breath of relief seeing her go. He would deal with her later on. First, he needed to see why he was getting calls from there.

Andaleeb calling!

That wasn't something he expected. Was she in any danger? Was her family doing any bad to her? Why did she suddenly call him? If she had reached out to him, that meant she was going through something so serious that she had to remember him as a last resort. Masab didn't waste a second before accepting her call.

"It's been four days since you left me here. Did the so-called love die down like a soap lather?"

Her innate ability of sarcasm hadn't died at all and that was what he loved about her. Hearing her voice, Masab thought as though he had come from a green forest after roaming around in a dry desert for a whole day. As though he found a first breath and a first heartbeat out of nowhere. But he knew that if she called him and asked something like this, something bad was happening to her. She didn't want to sound obvious but she really wanted a security of her future.

The deal he made with her father and uncles was right. He offered them the political alliance as a support and how greedy her uncles were, they accepted it at the spot. He deliberately made it seem like that he was the monster and Andaleeb was a victim who was kidnapped by him because he liked her at the first sight. His effort to make even this nikkah a threat to Andaleeb also proved fruitful. And the last resort was making it seem like that he forced himself on Andaleeb and she was a victim of sexual assault by him. That was the only way he could get her back in his life without messing up things.
