Prologue:

Time seemed to move slowly for some people in parts of the country but Shelby had always known she was a fast paced person. It was in her blood, she had to be busy, she had to be engaged to know that she was making some sort of progress on her goals to becoming a bigger and better person. Some of her friends joked that when it was time for her to be buried 6 feet under she would resurrect from the dead just to make sure the coffin was the right size and that they were digging deep enough. She wasn't a micro-manager but she was someone who was very thorough and liked to make sure things were being done properly. She had to be doing something or she felt somehow like she was losing and other people winning or somehow getting the edge on her, that was one of the keys to understand her mentality, particularly when it came to the business which she had built with the help of her father.

People were relaxed in these parts of the country outside of London, in places like Clacton where she was today, visiting some relatives during the festive season. It had been a while since she had last seen them and so she was taking the extra effort and driving the VW down the A12. Shelby's mind, however, was still back in Chelmsford and thinking about London and some of the meetings which she already had scheduled for the new year. Things were always moving fast and so sometimes she needed to move and think even faster in order to stay competitive in a business market which wanted to see her eat shit and fail.

Shelby knew, there were small cities and towns where a snail's pace was the norm, and that the residents preferred it that way. She intellectually understood that there were places where there was a contentment at the way things were and not much pressure to change anything or to achieve something of great import. She could wrap her mind around the mentality of avoiding hard work, and doing just the bear minimum to get by, it was the easy life and it had its own appeal when she saw some of the TV programs and wondered what it was like to live a life where the main point of concern was simply what you were going to eat and who you were going to fuck. 

She could understand the appeal of the simpler life style but it had just never appealed to her, this was part of the reason why she had moved down to Chelmsford to get around the right energy frequencies. She was a young lady with shoulder length hair which was naturally curly and jet black, it grew in a thick mane which took a good brush and a sturdy hand to get through every morning. She had deep green eyes which sparkled with a life of their own, a heart shaped face and lips which were full and pouty. She had a beautiful figure on her with d-cup breasts and round buttocks. a beautiful woman through and through which is part of what made her such a force to be reckoned with in the board rooms where it was mostly male CEOs trying to build their empires, they still weren't used to seeing women in positions of power and Places where people got by with the bare minimum in terms of going to their job, doing just enough to not get fired and then gleefully fleeing at the end of the shift and not thinking about starting, doing something different or even being their own boss.
