"Come downstairs for breakfast in a while. Then I'll make arrangements for you to meet your family," he told her before heading towards the washroom. While all Andaleeb thought was her changed feelings for him.
________________
Contrary to her expectations, Masab hadn't joined her for breakfast. And she didn't care about that as well. She just wanted to remain alone right now. Whatever she discovered just a while ago was bothersome and she didn't want to feel anything for him. Feeling desire was something natural and it was totally understandable. Andaleeb also wanted to have this emotion to make things easier for her and so that he would get bored of her after getting what he wanted. Also so that he would be defeated when his proclamations of love would fall over his face as he would take her against her will just because he is obsessed with her. In a way to also show the whole world that this was his true nature.
However, the realization that she might no longer have any feelings for Aurang was not something good. Those same feelings coming for the totally unexpected and hated guy were more bothersome than that. Yet for now, she didn't want to think about it. Her emotions were all over the place, and that was the reason she couldn't process anything clearly.
After the breakfast, she quickly went inside her room. All the nerves jumbled up inside her. How would she go in front of her family? She had lived with a stranger for a whole month without any relationship. How would they accept her back? They would be so heartbroken and sad. Or maybe angry at her. Maybe her father would have disowned her altogether. What should she do with these changed feelings? What about the slowly diminishing remorse, love, and care for Aurang? What about the other than desire she felt for Masab?
However locking all of these thoughts, she focused on the fact that she was getting a chance to see her family. Whatever they would say or however they would react, she would bear it. She just needed to meet them.
After a while, Nina entered with her brand-new phone. And after trying so much, she finally managed to call Daneen. But the biggest shock she got was the information that her sister got married to her ex-fiance. Her parents gave Daneen's sacrifice to clear the dirt that she had thrown over their faces. Her sister loved Zaroon and now she had to bear the consequences of her actions.
Why did this thought never cross her mind that whatever she would do would affect her sister like this? Leaving a wedding day meant more humiliation and disgust. And the only way to lessen it is by making compensation to Mohid and his family by giving the only daughter to him?
"Oh God!" She rasped as she almost fell over the bed. "What happened...What had happened...Dani, Oh my God..."
How would even she face her innocent and pure sister? Andaleeb felt like a culprit right now. Daneen's face moved in front of her eyes and she reminisced so many happy moments with her. Especially the instances where it was evident how much she loved Zaroon. She ruined everything for her sister. Would she ever forgive her? What if Mohid gave her a cold shoulder to take revenge for what she did with him? That thought made her restless. That was wrong. So wrong on many different levels. Today was the first time she really questioned her decision to flee her wedding for Aurang. That single move had cost her so much. Aurang's life, her liberty, her sister's happiness, her parents' reputation, and also her own feelings and life. Everything was devasted now.
Andaleeb tried calling Daneen again but now the line wasn't engaging. Did Mohid stop Daneen from talking to her? Either he didn't tell her altogether, or the former was true. However, whatever it was, she became anxious for her sister now.
The door knocked, and then Nina entered, with her ironed bridal dress again, which she wore on her nikkah. Andaleeb was confused seeing it.
"What's that?" She murmured, trying to calm herself down. She didn't want anyone to figure out what she was feeling right now.
"Chotte Sayen ordered me to prepare this dress for you so I brought it. Where should I place it?" Nina questioned, softly.
She flapped her hands recklessly. She didn't even know what was happening around her. "Do whatever you want."
"You are going to wear this dress if you want to meet your family. You will appear in front of them as my bride." All her senses came back when she heard Masab say this, who she didn't know when she entered as Nina was long gone after hanging her dress in the ensuite.
