"Keep this here and now you can go," she told Nina, pointing at the blue suitcase. The maid nodded and did what was ordered to her before leaving.

"What's that all?" Masab asked her, with a pointed look.

She gave him a fake confused look. "Why? Don't you want to share a room with your bride from tonight? Do you want me to just stay in another room after you got legal rights over me? That room felt like a prison to me. Now, as I am your wife, I want everyone to respect me like that, irrespective of what notion you want to give them that perhaps you brought me here for your own amusement."

He grimaced at the way she worded it about herself. "You aren't going to talk about yourself like this again, Andaleeb. You are my wife now. I wanted to respect your boundaries because even though this nikkah is what mattered undoubtedly and it made us spouses but your privacy should be maintained until our families are involved."

Andaleeb laughed under her breath and stepped next to him, standing closer to him. Her laugh sounded like a beautiful chim of birds in a morning bright sky that he was allured by it. Masab was left to stare at her when she placed her flat palm over his chest. Even though the thick fabric of his kurta was between her soft hand and his own skin, however, Masab felt the enticing heat of her touch anyway.

"Stop acting like a gentleman because you aren't. Drop this act and come clear," she urged him, smirking.

Masab covered her small hand with his bigger one, shocking her with this sudden move. His palm was strong, rough, and warm against hers. He pushed away their entwined hands away from his chest and interlinked their fingers. "If you are here again after gulping another couple of sleeping pills, let me tell you that I will even make those pills stop their function. You are mine now. Your everything is mine."

Her jaw tickled with anger but she maintained a smile. "Then what are you waiting for? Real men claim what's theirs." She pulled their interlinked hands towards herself and made his own to palm her shoulder. She made him run his hand up and down her arm. Their eyes met and a firework of passion ignited.

Masab's eyes hardened and then he encircled her narrow waist with his arm instead, pulling her closer to him. "Stop provoking me. You wouldn't like the outcome."

She gritted her brows together. His touch should have made her feel disgusted and deterred as she initially thought. But it was far away from it. Masab's touch was warm, secure, and possessive against her.

"I don't even like anything right now too. You freeing me from the prison of your obsession would be the best outcome I'd get from this sham of a marriage," she uttered, grimly.

Masab loosened his grip from her crisp waist, maintaining a distance from her. "If it was an obsession, I wouldn't have married you, Andaleeb. I would have taken advantage of you the same instant you caught my attention. I will be waiting for that day when you will realize yourself that you wrapped the heart of Masab Shah Alavi on your pretty finger."

She kept on looking at him silently with a clenched jaw for a while before chuckling. "Just like the way the sun always arises in the day, and the moon shows in the night, exactly like this utmost fact, I can never believe in your love, Masab."

A sudden tinge of hurt lurked in his heart at the way she said it but quickly Masab composed himself. "I'd even go through the fire, too, Andaleeb, to make it clear to you that it was also love that I felt for you."

She gave him a sinful smile. "I would never believe in you even then. Because the love that I experienced and got was selfless. Your so-called love is selfish. Love and selfishness don't exist together."

Instead of any hurtful expression, he smirked at her. "I'd love to witness you saying the opposite in the future."

She huffed and shrugged her shoulders as she looked around. This room was quite bigger than the one she was made to stay. The walls were painted creamy white and the ceiling was light brown. The floor was tiled and looked clear and beautiful. The left side led to the huge ensuite and wardrobe area. Just a few steps away was probably the washroom. The king-sized bed was adorned at the center of the bed. A couch was placed here as well. Overall the room felt airy and simple.

"I am going to grab a shower. And then we'll discuss what we have to do regarding your wish to meet your family. And, of course, my own family accepting you as their daughter-in-law," Masab told her sternly.

Her hateful eyes followed him as he stormed away. Andaleeb folded her fingers so tightly together that her long nails pierced through her palm. Abruptly, she recalled Aurang, and it made all her self-made courage falter. Masab was a killer, a blackmailer, a kidnapper, and a bad person. He wanted to portray himself to be a good person. She wouldn't allow it.

Andaleeb would bring his true face in front of the whole world. And this should be happening in front of her first. She would bring out that monster that this guy had hidden behind his handsome face. She would let Aurang have justice. He was innocent and only got the death because of his love for her. She had to stand her ground for Aurang's sake. Even if it included her getting hurt during it or going to the extent of living together with a man she absolutely hated.

"Tell me how much you love you." She remembered once, on a date, she had asked this Aurang playfully.

"I can even hug the death for you, Andi. That's how much I love you." His answer was always like this, and every time, he became angry at him for saying so.

"Why can't you use sense while talking? It's not a swag, Aurang to always talk about death to declare your love. I'd never talk to you if you said something like this again. With you, I am. Without you, I won't be myself, Aurang. I need you because you are my strength. But you always take our love so lightly. Do you know what impact your supposed jokes have on me? They tear my heart, Aurang." She really became furious and later on sad.

Aurang had become apprehensive seeing her like this. "Oh, baby. What's wrong? I was just saying like this. Don't be sad, baby. I never like it. I love you so much that even I can't think of anything to compare it with. I just know that my every pore loves you."

Her tearful eyes shined as she smiled. "I love you too. I hope we can be together always."

Aurang smiled as well. "We will, baby. We will. I'd fought with this world for our love if needed. But I will never let you go."

A tear singed on the skin of her cheek when she came out of her thoughts. And now, suddenly, she felt a raging itch all over her body. The touch of Masab, which felt warm and nice, contrary to what she anticipated, became like the feel of ants crawling over her as soon as she remembered Aurang.

She felt even disgruntled with herself to not perceive that man's touch as bad. A need arose in her whole body to tear away even her flesh, too. How would she allow herself to become defeated like this? But she had to do this for Aurang. For their blooming and innocent petal love which this man had plucked off before it would even become a flower. She would never forget this at all.

Andaleeb swallowed hard as she fumbled with her hands crazily, where she still felt the heat of Masab's big and strong palm. All of a sudden, her gaze wandered over to the bed's side table and she hurried towards it. After rummaging through the drawers, as expected, she found a pistol in the second drawer of the left table. She pulled the gun near her chest while staring at it.

A scary smile occupied her lips. Wet eyes, hurtful heart, heavy breathing, and a pistol in her hand; she gave a weird vibe in a bridal makeover. Quickly Andaleeb's eye darted towards the closed door of the washroom where Masab had gone. Even the sound of his shower was heard by her. She would surely get rid of him this time.
