March 4th
I was in my room scrolling through TikTok when Riah walked in and her eyes looked red.
"You okay toot"I asked dropping my phone on the bed and going over to her "Daddy didn't come" she said cleaning her eyes "It's okay baby, he's going to come today" I said picking her up "That's what you said yesterday,but he didn't come" she said "Daddy couldn't come cus he had stuff to take care of" I said and she nodded "Come on, let's go make some breakfast" I said "Pancakes" she said all happy "Pancakes it is then" I said.
We got to the kitchen and I kept her on the island then brought out the things for the pancakes and gave her an apron cus she always messing around when we cooking.
I put on the speaker and started playing afro beats cus once again they're a vibe.
After a while I started frying the pancakes and cleaned the surfaces when Keon came down.
"Bubba, morning" Riah said hugging him "Morning toot, morning Ari" he said "Morning,you got any plans today"I asked "Yh, heading to the studio later to do the finishing touches on the album" he said "You?" He asked "Got a few heads to make later"I replied.
"Jasper's coming over"I said after a moment of silence"You say what" he said and I told him what was happening with Jasper.
Then the doorbell rang and he went to open it "Wagwan Keon" I heard Jasper's voice "Man fuck off"Keon said "I'll be in my room if you need me" Keon said to me then went upstairs.
"Riah,this is Jasper, he's your father" I said "Daddy!!" Riah said then jumped on Jasper who caught her "How are you baby girl" he said "I'm fine,are you done with your business trip" Riah asked "Yes,and now I'm going to spend all my time with you" he said "this is for you" he added giving her a bag "Thank you daddy" Riah said "Take this to the parlour,I'll be there to open it with you, lemme talk to momma real quick"he said putting her down then she ran to the living room.
"So you not gon speak to me" he said "What do you want me to say to you" I asked "That smart mouth of yours gotta go" he said "And thanks for not spoiling her mind towards me" he added "Sure,and we gotta work on this co-parenting shit" I said and he nodded "since today is Monday,you can take her with you,and bring her back on Sunday" I said and he nodded "I'll go pack her bags,you staying to eat" I asked "You know I can never say no to your cooking" he said "Okay I said then he went to the living room.
I took a deep breath then plated the pancakes and got orange juice from the fridge and put it in glasses "Food's ready" I yelled and soon after Riah and Jasper came in "Thank you mommy" Riah said "Thanks ma" he said "Don't"I said and he smirked.
I went upstairs to tell Keon "Food's ready" I said "That nigga gone yet" he asked "No, he's staying for breakfast" I said "We co-parenting,so Riah's going over to his"I added "You good" he asked looking at my wrist and I realized I was snapping the band on my wrist "Not really" I said and he came over and hugged me "It's going to be okay" he said "I hope" I said "Now go eat,I gotta pack Riah's bag" I added and he nodded then went downstairs.
I went to Riah's room and got two bags,one for her clothes and shoes and the other her school things and what she can and cannot eat.
I zipped the bags and took it downstairs and saw they were done eating.
"Here you go" I said giving the bags to Jasper "Riah you'll be staying with daddy for a while" I said to her "Okay momma,love you" she said pecking my cheeks then she went to Keon and hugged him "Bye bubba" she said "see you later toot" he said "Try to keep your hoes away from my daughter" I said "I ain't got no hoes,see you around" he said "come on baby girl" he said holding Riah's hand then they left the house.
