Start from the beginning

"Yesterday morning, Bibi said that she wanted to eat something different. Maybe she was saying a name like Pasta. I told her I didn't know how to make it. Then she said that she would cook it herself. She checked the necessary things in the kitchen but she informed me that the ingredients needed to prepare Pasta weren't present. She gave this list to me so that I could purchase them from the market. Sayen, you know I can't read, so maybe in this, she wrote about that, and I brought it in my ignorance," he explained.

Sufiyan's suspicion proved to be right when Masab found the name of the sleeping pill written in the list. Andaleeb really made a fool out of a poor, uneducated man and used him to overcome the prison given by Masab.

"You foolishly purchased those things and didn't even care to tell me about it. Sufiyan, I have ordered every one of you to always include me when it concerns her," he snarled.

Sufiyan bit his lower lip in fear. "I didn't know, Sayen. I thought that she really wanted to eat Pasta. Give me any punishment, Sayen. I'll accept it, but don't fire me, please. I have to take care of my old parents and innocent, young siblings. They all are dependent on me. Please consider this, Sayen. I'll be more careful in the future."

Masab continued glaring at him, but he knew Sufiyan wasn't at fault here. He knew he was a poor and trusted man. First, his father worked here, and he was the same loyal and hard-working as him. He wouldn't just become a means to bring agony over innocent people like this.

"This time I am sparing you, Sufiyan. But next time you have to be careful. Don't involve yourself in something that you don't know. And always consult me when it comes to her. Understood?" His voice again turned hard at this.

"Thank you, Sayen. May Allah bless you," Sufiyan said, nodding quickly.

"All of you can leave!" He ordered loudly.

After they were gone, he sat back on the sofa before running his hands through his hair in frustration. This girl was really testing his patience.

She looked at a rather different maid who was standing over her head constantly. She wasn't like Nooran. She seemed tall, powerful, and stern. Masab must have upgraded her security after she tried to gulp those pills. From Nooran, she still felt familiar after living here for a long time.

Andaleeb couldn't believe that it had now been almost a month since she had been here. So many nights and so many days had passed. She was here, away from her family, away from the man she loved, for whom she couldn't even know whether he was alive or dead. Her family. Her parents and Daneen. What would they all be going through? They must be looking out and searching for her, but that was obvious that this man was more powerful, and he had erased every trace of her.

A month of agony and helplessness at the hands of this ruthless man in his prison.

In annoyance, she jerked her feet but gasped finding the cuff here, which was bounding her to the edge of the bed.

"I am in the room and you are here. Why am I being chained like this again? It's not like I am going to flee away," she shouted at the top of her lungs.

The woman named Nina shrugged her shoulders. "It's Chotte Sayen's order. We can't go against what he says."

"Your Sayen is a pathetic jerk. He is a mental case," she spat harshly.

Nina chose to remain quiet at this. Just a while ago, she was also part of that court made by Masab Shah Alavi.

Andaleeb scoffed while sobbing hard. She looked at herself in distress. That was not herself. She always remained very bright and smart. She always dressed up the best and handled herself with grace. But now, seeing herself in such a state where she had just woken up from a death-like state made her teared up.

She took those pills thinking of it as a last resort. Trying her best to escape by every means had always remained futile. That gave her disappointment and she took the ultimate step. It was obvious that if a rich and influential landlord had kidnapped her, then his motive was just to own her. He would only want to possess her body.

After getting hopeless, she just wanted to free herself from the curse of his ownership and so-called love. Andaleeb was willing to give him whatever he wanted so that he would let her go after getting satisfied. However, she couldn't bear to see the heart-wrenching sight of herself getting robbed of everything with her eyes. Hence she took those pills so that in between, she would fall asleep and wouldn't recall later on whatever Masab would do with her.

But presumably, Masab had spared her. She couldn't see any sign of violence which would have happened to her. Even her dress had the marks of vomiting over them which happened when she consumed the pills. Later on, with the help of Nooran, she changed into a new outfit. She didn't know the reason. Maybe he wanted to sate his manly ego and wanted her to cry and wither in anguish as he would take away her innocence and virtue.

She touched the chain of the cuff over her foot. He was treating her as a prisoner or perhaps as a girl whom he had brought. Someone who didn't have any virtue and could use her in any way. A woman who was there to sate him all he wanted. By far, Andaleeb knew that she had no way out of there. Masab would chase her even to hell, perhaps as well, and bring her back. She had to think of her survival now.

A dignified life where she would be able to try alongside her freedom. If she kept on doing what would make Masab angry, he would increase those restrictions on her. Life like this would become difficult for sure. The only thing that came to her mind was a solution. That was difficult but she had to do that. She had to find a way to live through all this for sure.

Andaleeb was so deep in her thoughts that she didn't realize when some other servant brought breakfast for her. Nina put the tray in front of her and opened her cuffs for her to get freshened up if she wanted. Mostly, Masab allowed her to leave her room during the meals three times, and he joined her at the table. However, now things changed as he couldn't risk her doing anything bad to herself once again. This made Andaleeb feel more like a prisoner. She wouldn't allow this now at all. She would fight this man in a new way now which wouldn't allow him to hurt her as he was doing now.
