Chapter 16: Other Asgardians

The tornado dispersed as Thor walked out of the remaining smoke as he looked at Amora. Amora was outnumbered as Wade landed next to Thor and that was her cue to teleport away.

Sif: witch!

Thor: <looks at Wade> you are a brave, young man. You have fought valiantly today.

Wade: thank you.

Jane: <walks over> so, is this how you normally look?

Thor: more or less.

Jane: it's a good look.

Thor: we must go to the Bifrost site. I would have words with my brother.

Sif: what about Amora? That witch must pay.

Thor: after Loki is defeated we will come back to find her. You will not harm her, she's a child who wants a family.

Coulson: excuse me!

Coulson and several Shield Agents appeared.

Coulson: Donald? I don't think you've been completely honest with me.

Wade: <takes the helmet off> yes he was.

Thor: know this, Son of Coul. You and I, we fight for the same cause, the protection of this world. From this day forward, you can count me as your ally if you return the items you have taken from Jane.

Jane: stolen.

Coulson: borrowed. Of course, you can have your equipment back. You're gonna need it to continue your research.

Thor: would you like to see the bridge we spoke of?

Jane: sure.

Thor: <holds her close>

Coulson: wait. I need to debrief you!

Thor took off as the others went to the van and followed.

Coulson: Wade...

Wade: I'm going with them.

Wade puts his helmet back on and takes off as Thor and Jane arrived first and Wade landed after them as he took his helmet off as the others were just arriving like 5 minutes later.

Thor; Heimdall; open the Bifrost.

Nothing happened.

Thor: Heimdall? Heimdall! He doesn't answer.

Hogun; then we are stranded.

Thor: Heimdall! If you can hear me, we need you now! Heimdall! We need you now! Heimdall!

A minute later the clouds formed as the Asgardians stood in the marked place.

Thor: I must go back to Asgard, but I give you my word, I will return for you.

Thor brought Jane's hand to his face and kissed her knuckles.

Thor: deal?

Jane just started a kiss as Wade looked into the sky as something was forming. Thor broke the kiss.

Jane: deal.

Thor stood with his friends as they got transported away as Amora saw this from a distance as she was now stuck on Midgard.

It wasn't long when the sky started darkening and lightning was seen as it looked like the beginning of something far destructive coming.

Selvig: Jane?

They kept watching as the storm got stronger and stronger until it was stopped and dispersed.

Amora looked up as she felt a pang in her heart and she only felt like this when something happened to her father figure, Loki. She let out a few tears as she teleported away from the site.

The four individuals looked at the sky as the clouds dispersed.

Jane: it's gone.

Darcy was the first to start walking back to the van as Selvig followed, Jane followed after a little.

Jane: need a ride?

Wade: no. I'm gonna wait here a little.

Jane walked away as Wade stayed there for half an hour before he put his helmet on and took off.

However this just cemented something on his mind, greater and greater threats are appearing and fighting them alone wasn't an option. It was now a team effort.

Elsewhere

Amora wandered around Midgard for a few days, using her magic to keep her clean and stealing to eat. It was very simple to survive in a place where no one knows magic or knows how to detect it. However she felt a very powerful presence as she followed the human, Selvig, into a place as he looked around.

Fury: Dr Selvig.

Selvig; so you're the man behind all this? It's quite a labyrinth. I was thinking they're taking me down here to kill me.

Fury: I've been hearing about the New Mexico situation. Your work has impressed a lot of people who are much smarter than I am.

Selvig: I have a lot to work with. The Foster Theory. A gateway to another dimension. It's unprecedented. Isn't it?

Fury: <walks to a case> legend tells us one thing, history, another. But every now and then we find something that belongs to both.

Fury opens the case and inside was what Amora recognized as The Tesseract.

Selvig: what is it?

Fury; power, Doctor. If we can figure out how to tap it, maybe unlimited power.

Amora looked at the reflection near Selvig as Loki saw her and smiled.

Loki: well, I guess that's worth a look.

Selvig: well, I guess that's worth a look.

Amora smiled as Loki will return and with him a start of events that will assemble Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
