CHAPTER 20

Chuanette and I walked out of the Blackhawks store got into her car.

"Where do you want to go for dinner? We have to eat something light." Chuanette says.

"What about Vapiano?" I suggest.

"Oh! Yes!" Chuanette says it like she forgot about the place.

"I can't believe you and Jess know each other!" I say in disbelief.

"Yeah," She laughs.

"So I have a question to ask," I say timidly.

"Yeah?" Chuanette asks.

"I really don't know much about hockey." I admit.

"Well, you're American, right?" She asks.

"Yeah," I answer.

"That answers it! You're not Canadian!"Chuanette jokes around.

"Oh please," I laugh with her.

"I mean if you're going to be Jonny's girlfriend, you will have to know a little bit about hockey," Chuanette tells me.

"Shut up!" I laugh and playfully punch her in the arm.

"It is pretty simple. I'll explain majority of it when we get to the game. But first you need to there are six players on the ice. One goalie, two defensemen, and three forwards." Chuanette explains.

"Alright that seems pretty simple," I say.

"Oh no, that was just the bare minimal!" Chuanette laughs.

"Great!" I say sarcastically.

Chuanette pulls into a parking spot and we walk into the building.

"What are you getting?" I ask Chuanette.

"I think just a caesar salad," Chuanette informs me. "What about you?"

"I think just a bowl of tomato soup," I answer.

We order our food and receive it.

"Wanna sit over there?" Chuanette asks point to a window seat.

"Yeah sure," I agree and walk with her.

We get down and settled.

"So, you must've been pretty excited when Jonathan Toews walked into your gym," Chuanette says.

"Well, I kinda didn't know who he was," I admit.

"What?" Chuanette says in amazement.

"I just thought he was another person. Nothing special." I tell her.

"Seriously?" Chuanette asks still in amazement.

"Yeah, we hung out a lot and I still didn't realize who he was. I know it sounds stupid because the Blackhawks are huge in Chicago. I simply didn't put it together." I tell Chuanette.

"That is hilarious! How did you find out?" Chuanette asks.

"I ended up going to a friends to house watch the. I was watching the game they said Jonathan Toews then a picture of him showed up on the screen and I was just like what the hell?" I explain

"That's is...is something. I would've figured would have told you." Chuanette says.

"Yeah, I thought he would've told me too," I laugh and think about it.
