~~•Seventeen•~~

Start from the beginning

We were caught by the Red Tuna people in no time as they got that we weren't the mere waiters and workers. And we had something to do with their drug trading default. We were able to escape from them after an epic fight between us but then something bad happened. I lost contact with Nelofer and then we got separated.

I suffered a gunshot on my right arm after shoving some of Red Tuna's assholes to death. My wound was still bleeding but luckily my thick overcoat had saved me from coming into the keen eyes of anyone. Luckily, the place where I was after escaping from the Gang was near the city. The colorful and bright lights peeked from the west towards me. From my knowledge about NYC, that was where the main city started.

I let my intuition drive me further while hoping for the wellness of my mission mate Nelofer too. She was a brave and cunning girl. I was sure that she would find a way to hide herself somewhere safe for her.

My wound was hurting like a pain in the ass but I didn't pay heed to it because first I needed to get somewhere away from the remaining bastards of Red Tuna. Spotting a mall, I entered inside it. For now, I just wanted to be among some crowd for cover-up. The women's clothing store at the far right was the first thing that caught my attention and nothing seemed better than this one for me to hide myself. This wasn't a place where I was expected to be found and I just had to be there.

That was where I found her. Someone from whom I couldn't take my eyes off. Someone on whose sight my heart skipped many beats. She mesmerized me more than ever. The feeling germinated in my heart and whole body seeing her was so unusual, foreign, and pleased to emote.

Andaleeb aka Andi who didn't want strangers to call her by her nickname.

The robust, ardent, wild, and stunning woman who caught my heart.

Asking for help from her was more about spending time with her and getting to know her better. I had made up my mind that I would chase her. The words of my Boss and my oaths were ringing in my ears but I overlooked them. My focus diverted and it lasted only on Andaleeb.

Giving her my things was a risky move. As a spy, I wasn't allowed to disclose my identity but I told her my real name. The name by which I was called by my actual family.

Masab Shah Alavi. That was my birth name and my Bi Jan had given this name to me. The name which was just for my people. There I was known as Shah or Chotte Sayen by everyone. But I intended to make Andaleeb my own so confiding her this was my first step towards her.

She would become mine. Mine to be called, mine to cherish and mine to call. I would make her mine no matter what. I would see everything else later on. My job, my identity, my pledge, and everything. First I needed to make Andaleeb mine.

Leaving her with my things was my motive all along hence when I returned her belongings to her, I didn't ask for mine and left without taking them. Andaleeb should always remember me.

I didn't even realize when she became so important to me. We met in some unexpected turn of events. I knew she didn't like me or that meeting but my heart couldn't stop beating for her. My eyes couldn't stop dreaming about her. Within no time, I was head over heels for her. I dig every information about her. She was the youngest of the only two daughters of her parents. She studied a fashion design course. Even her likes, dislikes, favorites, and everything. It felt like I had made a diary or biography about her. My paintings just had Andaleeb memories on them. How much I remembered her, I drew that about her.

But the feeling of breaking my oath lurked. New missions came my way but as in the past, I wasn't devoted to them. My imagination only focused on Andaleeb and none else. Was I doing wrong? Taking two polar opposite things together and trying to manage them? If I would tell this to anyone, they would ask me to drop one for another. But I wouldn't. I aimed for this job and bore all those different identities and names by going back to my family. For them, I was that proud, poised, and meticulous Landlord Masab Shah who would inherit his father's work and name. But I was far from it. By making it seem like I had a course of five years in NYC, I traveled and performed my tasks all over the world. But now I was expected back in my home place where I would have to take from my father and also manage my work.

I knew that the talks of my marriage would reverberate in my house as soon as I entered Pakistan and I wasn't wrong. My mother, Bi Jan, and younger sister were ready to put me in a groom's suit just directly from the airport. Nevertheless, I had made up my mind. It should be Andaleeb or no one else. She lived in Pakistan and now I would track her in no time.

But my expectations fell short when I got to know that what I feared was already happening. My family had already arranged my marriage to my Uncle's daughter Hoorain. My cousin and someone I never paid any attention to other than a kid because she was seven years younger than me.

However, perhaps this wasn't the only shock for me because my right-hand man gave me the horrifying news that the woman I loved; Andaleeb had already promised another man and she would get married to him in another five months.
