The girl passed without any suspicion and here Andaleeb took a deep breath of relief. Her journey from here to the exit of the house wasn't difficult. In a hustle and bustle of guests, none noticed that the bride had run away. And here the difficult and tacky both parts started from here. She was excited to be reunited with Aurang but anxious about how she would manage this.
As promised, she found Aurang waiting for her near the main road in his car. She walked swiftly towards his car and stood near the passenger seat. He raised a brow before his eyes registered her figure and they warmed.
"Aurang it's me," she whispered, removing the edge of the shawl from her face.
She still had some streaks of the bride she had become a while ago with some layers of makeup on her face but he didn't care for anything. She came to him and she was now his.
"Andaleeb," he replied back before coming out of the car.
He smiled seeing her and she returned it. As they were done with stashing her suitcase in the backseat, Aurang drove to a rather quiet nook.
"Andaleeb, I can't believe that you can do this for me. You can leave your family for a person like me. I don't deserve it," Aurang murmured, grasping her hand which was placed on her lap.
She squeezed his hand. "I love you Aurang and I can do anything for you. I want to live an eternity with you"
He blinked in understanding. "I love you too. I also can't live without you. You have no idea how much I was suffering since I heard that your parents had arranged a marriage for you. The idea of you becoming someone else and leaving me for forever really hurt me."
She cupped his cheeks. "Do you know that I can fight against this world for you, Aurang? I can do anything for our love to thrive. I can't live a life without you."
He brought her hand near his face and touched her hand with his eyes. "I love you more and more with each passing day."
She grinned, stroking his face."Let's go to your apartment now. We don't have much time left now."
He nodded and then steered the car towards the road again. After half an hour, the car paused in a moderately well-built locality having many apartments. Aurang gestured towards one of the flats. Andaleeb's eyes narrowed at this. Where did he bring her? Earlier she thought he might be taking her to his home but that wasn't it. She had come to his apartment quite a few times in the past.
"Where did you bring me, Aurang?" Andaleeb asked, curiously.
He pressed his lips together. "That's my friend Raza's house. Of course, I couldn't have imagined taking you to my house. Your father would track us in no time. At first, we will get nikkahfied here and then we will spend a few days in Raza's apartment before we will see what we have to do. Raza won't live here till we are here so don't worry."
"Oh," she said. "You are right. Baba shouldn't get suspicious before our nikkah at all."
"Let's go," Aurang offered her and then they both got out of the car.
Raza's apartment was on the second floor and they used stairs to reach there. Every flat was similar looking with a white and brown painted exterior made in the form of a hut. Aurang had the keys to the apartment hence they didn't have any problem getting in there.
The inside of the apartment was beautiful and modern. It had a small living room having neatly placed sofa sets, an American-styled kitchen on the left, and a balcony on the other side. There were only two bedrooms. Aurang took her to the master bedroom. The interior was all painted white.
Like the rest of the flat, it was also elegant and spacious with a king-sized bed, and a two-seater sofa, and the right side showed the breathtaking view of the greenery of the garden. The other nook had an attached washroom and a tiny en suite. Once again everything was painted white.
"You can stay here, Andi for the time being. I'll bring something to eat for us. In a while, moulvi Sahab will be here and then we will finally unite," Aurang told her, gently.
She smiled. "I am so happy for this. We will become one, Aurang. After so many hurdles, we will get each other's companionship in every way possible."
He caressed the side of her face lovingly before coming over to the bed. Now as she saw more meticulously, she realized that there was a black box adorned by a gorgeous red flower-like ribbon placed over there. Aurang grabbed it and walked back to her.
"I got this as your wedding dress. I want you to wear this for our nikkah," he confided, lovingly.
Andaleeb nodded with a teary eye. "Of course Aurang. I will wear it."
He held her hand and made her sit on the edge of the bed. "Sit here. I'll see what I can manage as a food for us."
Aurang left the room after that and she was left with the box where Aurang had kept her wedding dress. Out of curiosity, she opened it. It revealed a beautiful red bridal dress with golden threadwork. It was indeed not as expensive as the one that came from Mohid's family but it was way more dear to her heart because Aurang chose it for her. She was about to put back the dress when something else caught her attention. It was a red-colored thing as well. What was that?"
She grasped the cloth in her hand and her eyes widened seeing what it was. It was a sheer red colored silk nighty that was bold in every aspect. It was made of pure net and silk. Without having any sleeves, deep neckline, and high edges, it would leave very little to imagine if she would wear it. There was a sticky note attached to its packet. She tossed it away and read it.
"I want you to wear it for our wedding night, sweetheart."
A timid smile struck her lips before she closed the lid again. Aurang came here with full preparations. Leaving the box, she stepped towards the bathroom to freshen up herself. After washing her face when she came back, she found Aurang in the room with a tray having two glasses of juice.
His eyes wandered from the box of dresses to her and Andaleeb felt this gaze all over her, making her shy.
