There was an area down the road and it disappeared into the deep woods. It seemed complicated and turned. She pouted seeing that he really left and now his things would be with her forever.

What was that? A dream? A fantasy? A hallucination?

Her eyes were fixed on the steam coming from the cup of hot coffee but her mind was somewhere else. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even realize when Daneen came over and occupied the chair opposite of her.

"What's wrong?" Her sister asked worriedly.

Andaleeb snapped out of it but then quickly took control of herself and smiled. "Nothing."

Daneen regarded her with a dubious look. "You have been looking very anxious since last night. Is there any matter? I know that deciding to marry Mohid wasn't easy for you. You loved someone else and then suddenly, you had to leave him. I can't do anything in this regard but if you want to take your heart out, then you can tell me what's bothering you. I'll be a good listener."

Mohid. Aurang. Marriage. Love. No, that wasn't about it. She had practically forgotten about everything that she had in Pakistan since she met him.

That mysterious and weird guy who came into her life dramatically. She sometimes felt it was a dream and now she woke up from it. How could something like this happen? But seeing that pendant and necklace, she recalled every time that it wasn't a dream. It was a reality. There was really a person named as Shah who asked for her help. He stayed true to his words that he wouldn't pose any danger to her. He would just need her for a place to live and to help him with his injury.

A fairytale perhaps. None would believe on her if she said that something like that happened to her. Andaleeb huffed and again looked at her sister.

"No Dani, I am not worried. And it's not at all because of my marriage. I was just thinking that after we both will be married, Mama and Baba will be alone," she said, grabbing her cup of coffee and attaching her lips to it.

Daneen bit her lower lip. "You are right. And that's whabothersng me as well. But we can't do anything about it. A girl has to leave her parents' place after the wedding. We will keep on meeting our parents and each other surely."

She wished she could do so. Her parents would forgive her and accept Aurang after she did what was needed to become his wife. Daneen wouldn't give them a heart break but Andaleeb would. And she didn't know why since she heard that man pledging his mother's life over the password of the locker, she was pondering over this fact more and more. Earlier, Aurang's love and craze would always make her divert her attention from this topic but now it came coming back to her.

"Should we go for some sightseeing today? Just me and you?" She asked Daneen, wanting to again revert her mind from the betrayal's topic.

She had made up her mind and now she wouldn't back off, no matter how much remorse she would feel. Parents' forgiveness and love could be gained back by any means but if she married Mohid, she would lose Aurang for forever.

Daneen nodded. "That's a lovely idea. We will go."

She smiled back at her sister before focusing on the breakfast. But as soon as her mouth went silent, her mind started working again.

"I always need someone's company to have meals. You are going to me give me company."

She exhaled loudly at this, shoving a piece of boiled egg in her mouth. Why wasn't he leaving her mind?
