Everything was perfect for Vivienne. She had an awesome mother, who was practically the life of party, and she never complained.
In fact, Vivienne loved her mother, Jenna, more than anything.
However there were secrets about her that no one knew.
No...
"I cannot believe that Mr. Tanner let you on the team. Tyler must be seething. But good for you, go for it." Caroline said as everyone was sat in the living room.
"That's what I always tell him" Damon started, "you have to engage. You can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you, you have to go get it."
"Yeah Elena wasn't so lucky today." Caroline shook her head, "It's only because you missed summer camp. God I don't know how you're ever gonna learn the routines"
"I'll work with her. She'll get it" Bonnie interrupted.
"I guess we can put her in the back..." Caroline wondered out loud. "Well it's a good thing we got ourselves another cheerleader" Caroline looked at Vivienne.
"Hey, you don't really seem the cheerleader type..Vivienne, neither does Elena" Damon said.
"Well just because she has a slightly bloated body, doesn't mean she can't be a cheerleader. And vivi," Caroline turned to Vivienne, "don't you dare ever feel insecure if we tell you that you're going to be the one to be thrown in the air. Our group is great, okay? I've seen cheerleader leave the club just because they thought they were being a load on the group"
Vivienne smiled at Caroline thankfully.
"And as for Elena," Caroline turned to Elena, "it's just cause her parents died. Yeah, I mean she's just totally going through the blah phase. She used to be way more fun" Bonnie and Elena glared at Caroline while Vivienne just gave her a face that said, 'you messed up girly'
"And I say that with complete...sensitivity..." Caroline tried to make it right.
"Well!" Vivienne stood up, "I'll get the cups...and as much as I'm enjoying this," she mouthed a 'not' to Elena, "I need to do some work...so I'll see you guys later!"
Vivienne took the mugs and walks out of the living room.
She kept the coffee mugs in the sink and made her way to her room.
..••..••..••..••..••..••..
Vivienne was sat on her bed, with her laptop on her lap as she scrolled through the internet, while fiddling with the ring on her bracelet.
She found it today only when she was digging through her closet to find something to wear.
She hadn't worn it in almost 4 years, being the fact it was actually a necklace and became more like a choker for her, so she has now decided to wear it as a bracelet.
She first found the necklace when she was in 3rd grade.
It was inside her bag one day, along with a note, 'I'm watching over you my little angel'
And she thought a relative had left it in there so she wore it till she was 13.
It also had a never ending beautiful smell.

A knock came upon Vivienne's door.
"Come in" she said without looking up from her laptop.
The door crept open and Damon walked in.
"Woah, nice room" he said looking around in amazement.
"Thank you" she smiled, peeping her eyes up from the laptop, then looking back.
"Damn, these paintings...they're amazing. What are you? An artist?" Damon chuckled.
"Fantasy freak, computer freak, art freak, Folklore freak. Pick your favourite" Vivienne shrugged
"These drawing are awesome, who called you a freak for this?" Damon chuckled as he examined the painting of a waterfall.
"It's a long story."Vivienne shook her head and kept her laptop to the side.
"I have time" Damon shrugged and sat down in front of her.
Vivienne sighed once, before she began speaking.
"My mother, and both my cousins believe I had a great life at my previous school. And it was great. I had friends. But they never really touched the heart...you know. Like I always knew something was off about them. And I was right. I told them something about me...and..since then..they thought I was a freak. And everything I was passionate about, became a freak thing" she shrugged, "it was hard but I got through it I guess.."
"Showed them what?" Damon raised an eyebrow.
"Honestly I'm still trying to figure that out. And I did only just meet you..so.." she chuckled.
"Right, of course I get it....i have also had...trust issues with certain people...so I can understand...well, if you ever feel comfortable enough to talk to me about it...I'm all ears" Damon shrugged.
