there is a room in my head
I've never seen in my life
And I think someone important
lives there

likewise I am a stranger
in a stranger's home
but I am welcomed
as a lost friend

or perhaps that's
the wrong word

I'm not alone in the room
the stranger is somehow familiar
the door closes
with me on the inside
and for the first time
I can recall
I'm not caged
I'm home.

maybe now that I know
what it looks like
I'll find it
outside of me.
