Julia just shrugged from her bed before she began to get under her covers. When she was situated, she said, "I get they can have awesome powers, but we hardly see them put to use like that on a day to day basis anyway! This arena is the best way to see what they can really do!"
Lilith just chuckled again. She rolled over, facing Julia's bed across the room, and said, "Whatever it may be, that's your opinion. You're entitled to it, you have all the power over yourself; I have my own power over my opinion too."
Julia sighed woefully before she turned onto her back, facing the ceiling above her. She took a few breaths as she tried to calm her mind down after all of the excitement for the night before saying, "Man, today was great. But we've got an early day tomorrow to prepare for the arena."
Lilith nodded in agreement and added, "A long, yet exciting day. There's only been one in the past that we barely joined in time to see. It's exhilarating to think about it now that it's so close."
Julia gave a quick nod before saying, "Whatever. Just shut up and catch some z's already. We don't want to be late."
"Right you are," Lilith said before grabbing the bracelet next to her and slipping it over her wrist. She put her arm into the air and flicked her wrist to the right, and the light turned off before she took the bracelet off and set it back down. She rolled over in her bed before finally saying, "Good night Julia."
Julia snickered and glanced at Lilith in the dark. She closed her eyes after a bit before she sang, "See you in the morning."
________________________
Lilith stood next to Belos as he began to open up a massive door in the arena. She and Julia had been ordered to report to Belos' office first thing in the morning, and after a short debrief, were led towards the arena where a large door had been added. The same that was slowly opening on its own.
Julia glanced over at her partner from the other side of Belos. She was able to catch Lilith's eye after a bit, and the two of them just waited for Belos to make a move. The door creaked and groaned as he began to open, turning the attention of all three of them to the dark abyss from within.
Belos stopped the door after it had opened up just a few feet for all of them to see inside. There was a cackling of electricity and quick flashes of bright blue currents crossing over the body of a massive beast from within. He chuckled and said, "This is our new creation. I won't say what it can do since you two will find out for yourselves tomorrow. Like our night beasts, it's not meant to be killed. Its skin is tougher than theirs too. It simply serves as another trial for experiments to survive, though much harder than it ever has been."
Julia began to step forward to try and get a better look, but Belos lifted his arm and stopped her before she could get past him. He tilted his head in her direction and said, "You don't want to be too close. If you do, it would kill you in a heartbeat."
Lilith peered in once again and asked, "What is it capable of? I'm seeing a lot of electricity running throughout its body. Can it control it somehow?"
Belos chuckled and nodded before stating, "It is capable of producing its own electricity. Since it has been biologically engineered, we have given it both electrical conductors and producers down its spine."
Lilith stared at the electricity sparking within the dark abyss. It wasn't until a few seconds later that a large eruption of electricity covered its body that she got a glimpse of it. The glimpse lasted less than a blink of an eye, but with how bright it had been, she saw how far down the cell went. Her eyes widened in shock once she was able to process everything.
Julia stared into the abyss in fascination. She was intrigued by the size and stature she had been able to catch from it in that brief moment. She quickly looked at Belos and asked, "Is there some kind of presentation to help us understand it more?"
