As the first rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, I stirred awake, feeling a sense of purpose coursing through me. Today was going to be different. Today, I was going to surprise Mom.

Throwing off the covers, I rose from my bed with determination. The familiar ache of yesterday's workout reminded me of the effort I'd put in, but it was a satisfying kind of ache. The kind that told me I was getting stronger, better.

With a quick stretch, I made my way to the living room, where I had set up my makeshift gym corner. The weights glinted in the soft morning light, beckoning me. Without hesitation, I launched into my routine - a series of intense exercises that pushed my body to its limits. With each rep, I could feel the muscles in my arms and legs burning, but I pushed through, fueled by the desire to become the best version of myself.

After what felt like an eternity, I finally completed my workout, feeling exhilarated and alive. Glancing at the clock, I realized it was still early. Perfect.

With a grin, I tiptoed into the kitchen, careful not to wake Mom. Today was her day off, and I wanted to do something special for her. Something that would make her smile.

Rummaging through the pantry, I found the ingredients for her favorite breakfast - poha. As I diced the onions and chopped the vegetables, the aroma of spices filled the air, warming my heart. Cooking had always been a passion of mine, a skill I had honed over the years with Mom's guidance.

Soon, the poha was sizzling in the pan, the vibrant colors of the vegetables mingling with the golden grains of flattened rice. With practiced hands, I garnished it with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lemon, adding the final touch to my masterpiece.

With a satisfied nod, I set the table, laying out Mom's favorite dishes with care. Just as I placed the steaming plate of poha in front of her, she emerged from her room, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Good morning, Mom," I greeted her with a smile, anticipation bubbling inside me.

Her eyes widened in surprise as she took in the spread before her. "Yuvraj, you made breakfast?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with delight.

I nodded, feeling a swell of pride in my chest. "I wanted to surprise you," I admitted, unable to contain my excitement.

Mom's smile widened as she pulled me into a tight hug. "Thank you, beta," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "This is the best surprise ever."

As we sat together, enjoying our meal, I couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these - moments of warmth and connection that made all the hard work worthwhile. And as I looked at Mom's beaming face, I knew that this was just the beginning. There would be many more surprises to come, many more moments to cherish. But for now, I was content to bask in the simple joy of this morning - a morning filled with strength, love, and the delicious aroma of homemade poha.
