On the other side of the portal a day before...

Kasiis was on the trail of someone, or something. there was a trail of energy leading somewhere on the southern borders, and rumor states that she recently stated that there could be a shadow seen around ruins of an old castle. So Kas went to investigate, and while the others think that she could be pretty slow compared to her others who can blend into shadows or literally toy with space.

There's one thing that they didn't know. Kas can cross through mirrors. it is the reason why they have a giant mirror made of the shavings of permafrost, It's her personal craft and beats regular ice mirrors because they always melt when shes not home. the natural heat of an inactive Caldera mixed with the presence of her wife melts ice rather easily no matter how much she reinforces it.

And that brought her to where she is now. at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Vanirian ruin waiting for her quarry. while she was waiting she took to singing, given there was really nothing out there besides the wildlife, the fauna and possibly her quarry that could be coming soon

she wanted to try something she always saw cinder doing, sitting cross-legged and closing her eyes for hours at a time. She didn't ask Cinder about what it was but it seemed important so she found herself on the cliff breathing

"No.. no... focus on your breathing Kas" she thought to herself batting away the incoherent thoughts of random recipes that she read in cinders cookbook

"the breathing techniques work..." she thought to herself. she can feel something coming whether it be drowsiness or a peach of mind

"Think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts... what does she think of when she's doing this " she repeated to herself while she recounted her moments with Cinder. every moment with her felt like bliss and out here away from tairo she couldn't feel her warmth anymore it was replaced by a coolth that while it soothed her, it reminded her of home... up in the mountains.

"no.. NO!" Kas cringed to herself at such a depressing thought, the lone tears that fell splashed to the ground and spread very coldly along the ground encasing the surrounding area in a thin layer of ice as the temperature around her started to decline. Animals around started unnaturally preparing for the winter. and the grass started frosting over.

"oops." Kasiis thought to herself while she looked at the spreading frost on the grass, she might've accidentally thrown off an ecosystem because one bad thought,

it's not like it matters anyways. the tear would melt in about an hour.

Cinder has and would do far worse with the supposed intrusive voice in her head.

She would argue with it constantly, staring at walls like the walls owe her a little bit of gold.

Kas yawned and thought as she started drifting off to sleep "maybe an hour or 2 nap should work..."

her mind slowly drifted towards Cinder and that sun radiating smile she gives her and she laughs before closing her eyes and falling asleep

Two Hours later
