It's been two weeks.

Two whole fucking weeks and Melanie has been avoiding me like the damn plague ever since I kissed her after our last class.

I still can't believe I kissed her. I don't know what I was thinking. Actually, I do, but I still know it wasn't right considering she's with Sanders.

At least I'm guessing they're still together since I haven't had any run-ins with Jamie since before midterms and I know I'd be pounding down the door of whoever kissed my girlfriend until I got to punch them in the face at least once.

Hell, I'd want to beat the hell out of them, but I'd settle for a good nose breaking punch if that's all I could get.

But now, it's been two weeks too long and the avoiding crap Melanie's been pulling is over. Today we're supposed to be back in our psychology class and we're in the final stretch before presentations begin in a little more than a month and I've never wanted to get to class faster.

All but speeding through the few minute drive from my apartment to the North End Center Garage, I grab my things and hustle through the parking garage to get to class, hoping to find Melanie before. My boot clad feet carry me through the hallways to my classroom where I do three scans of the room to confirm I beat her. Finding two seats near the front, I shrug out of my jacket and set it and my backpack on the one furthest in so she can't run when I get her sitting in the chair.

Rubbing my sweaty palms over my black jeans once I'm in my chair, thanks to the nerves setting in, I catch her entering the classroom mixed in with a small group of people. When our eyes meet, it's like a calling for her to come sit beside me.

She looks beautiful, wearing a greenish-gray sweater tucked into a black high-waisted skirt that has a slit up her left leg, black tights and her go-to black boots. Her hair is down and sleek straight, looking longer than I remember it,and even from here, I can tell her makeup is simple as always.

I can't take my eyes off of her as she heads toward me, climbing the five steps to the row I've saved us seats in.

"Hey," she greets me when I grab my backpack from the chair and stand up to let her into the seat on my left.

"Morning. Saved you a seat," I respond, flashing her a smile.

She gives me a small nod as she lowers herself into the chair.

I settle in beside her, making sure she doesn't have an escape route to bolt. "How was your break?" I ask while she starts to dig her things out of her backpack, setting them on the table in front of her.

"It was great to get away. We Went to Cancun and spent time on the beach and in the sun."

I bite my tongue to hold back a groan when I think about her in a bathing suit, strutting through the sand and swimming in the ocean.
