CHAPTER NINE

Red Wine.

I WAS BACK AT SAM'S PLACE, bored to death as my mates were out chasing some redhead vampire, VICTORIA.

I then receive a call from my eldest sister and answer.

Mid-conversation, I get a vision of Bella jumping off a cliff and falling into the deep currents of the water as Victoria was about to get to her.

M- Ariel, I'ma have to call you back

I hang up the phone and speed out of the house.

By the time I arrive at the cliff, Bella jumps off.

"Bella!" I exclaim, jumping after her.

I submerge into the water and shift into my mermaid body. I take a hold of Bella and keep her close to me.

Catching sight of Victoria, I use my powers to push her away from us as I swim Bella to shore.

I emerge from the water and drop Bella to the sand before doing three chest compressions and proceeding to cpr until she finally coughs out the water and begins to breathe.

"Bella" I sigh relieved.

"We'll be over at Harry's place!" Sam shouts.

"What happened?!" I shout back.

"Harry's having a heart attack, Leah's shifting!" He replies.

"Sam wait! Take Bella, I'ma go help Harry"

I quickly run over to the reservation and towards Leah's place.

I knock on the door and her mother Sue lets me in.

"I'm sure Sam has informed the elders of what I am, I'm here to help" I inform her.

She nods in response.

I listen in on Uncle Harry's slow heartbeat and check his vitals.

"Cancel the ambulance" I tell her as I place one hand on his heart and begin my sweet healing incantation.

Uncle Harry then begins to breathe again.

"Harry!" Sue tears up to see her husband alive.

"Leah's in the garage, tearing down everything. The pack are there trying to calm her down, please help" Sue asks of me and I nod, agreeing.

"Thank you, Maliyah" Uncle Harry says hoarsly. "You're welcome Uncle Harry" I smile before rushing over to the garage.

I enter and quickly dodge the tyre that came for my head.

"Leah, leah, leah, I'm going to need you to calm down" I tell her.

"Where's Sam?" Embry whispers over to me.

"Why?! Why does he need to be here?!" She shouts.

"OKAY! Everybody out! Let me deal with Leah" I kick them all out.
