Two weeks after Derek, Alexa, and Cora's encounter with the Alpha's the group tried their best to get back to normal.
Alexa was sat on the bus alone the seat in front of Scott and Stiles as they made their way to the cross country meet. The hybrid sat listening to the boys as she felt nothing but pure sadness and pain after what happened to Derek last night.
"Nice! Okay, next word-- "incongruous."" Alexa heard Stiles say to Scott.
"Uh, can you use it in a sentence?" Scott asked.
"Yes. Yes, I can! It's completely incongruous that we're sitting on a bus right now, on our way to some stupid cross-country meet, after what just happened. Incongruous." Stiles said making Alexa flinch.
"Out of place, ridiculous, absurd." Scott answered.
"Oh, buddy, you okay?" Stiles asked as Scott flinched when a bump hit.
"We shouldn't have come. I knew it-- we shouldn't have come." Stiles fussed.
"We had to. There's safety in numbers." Scott answered weakly still hurt.
"Yeah, well, there's also death in numbers, okay? It's called a "massacre". ...Or "bloodbath..." "Carnage..." "Slaughter..." "Butchery..." Wow, that's..." Stiles said as he saw Scott bleeding and Alexa staring off into space.
"All right, I'm telling Coach that--" Stiles went to say.
"No, no, no, no, I'm all right." Scott fought.
"Well, you don't look all right! And look at Alexa she isn't alright either!" Stiles snapped earning Alexa's attention.
"I'm fine." Alexa answered robotically like it was rehearsed.
"I'm okay..." Scott said weakly.
"Nothing about this is okay." Stiles told his best friends.
"I can't believe he's dead..." Scott muttered making Alexa's face pale.
"I can't believe Derek's dead." Scott finished.
Everything inside Alexa was screaming for her to shut down and turn off all of her emotions. As a witch there's a spell to do so, and she so desperately wanted to use it. The girl thought back to yesterday remembering parts of what happened.
Flashback
After their encounter with the Alpha's Derek was pissed and wanted to retaliate. Alexa was pretty angry too, she didn't like how the pack of alphas were targeting her boyfriend trying to get him to kill his pack so she was all for revenge.
