There were almost no valuable things left in Pervaz castle. All valuable things were sold long time ago to buy weapons and food.

"My hair is unnecessarily long. Should i cut it up and sell it?", Asha thought out loud.

"Who will buy your hair that is stained with scum?", Decker snickered.

"Then....should I sell my sword?", she questioned.

"Are you crazy? now that the Luer tribe has been destroyed, the Igram and Pir tribe will sneak out. If you sell the sword, what will you fight them with?", Decker exhaustedly questioned back.

The two let out a long sigh. Although Asha barely won the war after struggling to the point of death, it seemed that the future has nothing new to offer other than more death. It would've been better if her death ended everything but just because Asha was born in Pervaz, she carried the fate of many who are living in misery on her young shoulders.

"What should i do?", as Asha muttered sighing, the door suddenly opened. A man who looked like a monster himself, similar to Decker in physical appearance, with unkempt hair, covered in what looked like blood clots, came in. Even in the dark, Asha welcomed him with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"Hector, whats the matter?"

"The young ones searched the Luer tribe corpses. I thought it would be nice to find some beef jerky but lucky for us we found something like this", as he held out a shabby leather pouch which contained several small jewellery made of gold.

"It looks like some strong people from the Luer tribe came forward to participate in the final battle.", Hector crossed his arms proudly and looked at Asha.

Asha had no idea of what kind of expression she should make as she looked at the gold pieces that were covered in blood.

"The one who found them should have it. Why did you bring this to me?", asked Asha.

"I didn't steal it. They told me to bring it to you, their Lord, so I did. They probably stole things like beef jerky on their own.", replied Hector.

It wasn't hard to believe that these men, who had difficulty even touching a single silver coin that is not their won, would obediently hand over the gold jewellery, so Asha asked Hector again. "Didn't they know this was gold?"

Hector snorted at her words. "They're not that stupid. But think about it my Lord. in Pervaz, is there any one who would exchange gold for something to eat?"

Indeed. The situation in Pervaz was so dire that even if gold is available for exchange, meat or flour wasn't available. Of course, there might be a few houses stocked up on food in underground warehouses. But in a situation where they didn't know when they might starve to death, they wouldn't give up the precious food for some shiny piece of metal.

"But if you go as afar as Elsir, you can do something with it....", Asha spoke.

"If we go to Elsir, my Lord tell me, can we get enough food for a month with this small amount of gold? even if we did, what will happen after?", Hector laughed at the thought. He continued, "the only person who can exchange this for something more valuable is you my Lord", saying that he held out the pouch with the gold towards Asha.

Decker tapped Asha on her shoulder. She was hesitant to even accept the gold that her men had found after searching the many corpses.

"Hector is right. You are the only one who can turn that into flour, Asha", Decker confirmed. Asha swallowed dryly.

The territory is in a desperate situation, the emperor's promise is the only hope. Small amount of gold just happen to fall in to her lap when she was in despair due to the lack of travel expenses. It seemed like everything was pushing Asha to move her plan along.
