Chapter 29

Our lockers were open and it was filled with a lot of things and when I say A LOT it was A LOT.

"I tried telling them not to put anything anymore, but they just won't listen!" It was Riley with Nathan guarding our lockers and pushing it to close the door

"Pssh! How bad could it be?!" Abby said and Riley's face fell and became like a deflated balloon then she opened my locker that made the things fall off the ground. The students passing forward stopped walking and were looking in our direction. I then just touched my forehead and shook my head due to an overwhelming response from the students.

"Should I open yours too? Kyle?" Nathan asked and we said that if he could just hold it for a few minutes just so we could get a hold of Kyle's father. Thankfully, our classes this morning were canceled so the students could participate in the event the school prepared for the hearts day.

When Kyle's dad arrived he was smiling widely at us.

"Well...you guys what can i say, you are part of the popular group in middle school hahaha" he said while he helps us gather every thing

"Dad, seriously?"

"Is this all?" Uncle Grant asked

"Not really, Uncle. There's more in our classroom." I responded as I pick things up on the floor

"I wish I was popular when I was in middle school haha" he said teasing us again

It took us a few minutes before we finally put everything in Uncle Grant's car with the help of Riley, Nathan, Abby, Malcolm, and Jacob.

"Well guys! I am off home! Just come call me again if you need help." Uncle Grant said and then we thanked him and waved goodbye as he drove the car far away from us

"Ahm...Charlotte, are you missing something?" Abby asked me like I forgot something in my life that's super important

"You have to perform in our gymnasium? With Epicenter?" and when she told me that my face lightened up and remembered it. I then ran towards our music room and my members were looking at me in a certain weird way I could not explain "What? Alright, I forgot that we have a performance" I told them while I went near them

"We knew, and we understand" Andrew said that brought me a lot of relief

"How?"

"The students passing in our classroom were chatting about your locker situation" Bella said while she was trying to conceal her laughter

"This flower is from Caleb, Andrew and I. Bella has one too. Happy Valentine's day, Charlotte" Luke said while he was holding three pieces of white roses

"Aww Thank you guys! Can I leave it here first? So we could perform at the gymnasium now?"

"Sure! And let's go! Mr. Kaito is waiting for us there" Caleb said and we all then went to the gym where the Pride performed their last verses of the song. Mr. Kaito then waved at us to come in his direction.

"Where have you guys been? I was seriously worried about you guys!" he said

"Sorry, it's my fault." I said in a light manner

"It's fine, the most important thing is you guys are here with complete body parts." he said humoring us

After Pride performed, the student host then went at the center to introduce us

"Alright! So for our last band! It's our one and only Epicenter!"

We all then went to our positions and when we were ready, Luke counted 3, 2, 1 then we started performing Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne clean version. My eyes wandered at the audience that's seating at the benches, until I spotted where Kyle was sitting. He was with Malcom, Jacob, Nathan and my friends Abby, Riley and Addi. His in between and beside him are Nathan and Addi. They were having fun and singing along with us like the other students and faculties in the vicinity. Most of the time my eyes were locked with Kyle the entire time as if the spotlight was only on us.
