"Well?" Gavin asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "Have you found anything yet?"

"No, Alpha," Leonardo said while he shook his head. "I have not felt anything yet."

"Hmph." He pursed his lips into a thin line and narrowed his eyes while he stared at us. "Keep looking. You still have one leg that you haven't checked."

"I will," he said and nodded in confirmation. He did what he was told to do and went to the next one. He paused when he felt the gun through the boot before he moved his hand lower as if he felt nothing.

Shit...

My whole body grew tense, and I slowly blinked while I stared at him. I didn't say a word while I stared at him, praying that he wasn't going to tell Gavin about the gun that I had hidden in my boot.

"Well?" Gavin asked and raised an eyebrow in question when Leo stopped checking me over and stood. "Did you find anything?"

"No, Alpha," he said and shook his head. "I have not found anything else." He cleared his throat and shifted on his feet while he bowed his head a little. "I have not found anything on her. I apologize, Alpha."

Gavin bit back a small snort while he rolled his eyes before he looked at my father. "You haven't taught your daughter anything, haven't you, Hunter?" he asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

"She didn't need to be a part of this world," my father gasped out, and I couldn't help but bite my lip when a sting of pain filled my heart. "She didn't need to know."

"Awwww, poor, poor little Bellie," Gavin said while he sneered and looked at me. "It looks like you are just a worthless piece of shit that didn't need to know how to protect yourself."

"I still knew how to fight even without not knowing about the Supernatural world around me," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. I kept my gaze on Leo and didn't even look at Gavin or my father because I wanted to figure out what Leo was trying to do.

"Hmph," Gavin smirked and narrowed his eyes further while he stared at me. "Of course you can," he said, sarcastically. "Then why didn't you stop me from clawing your side on that fateful day?" he asked and raised an eyebrow.

I licked my lips and bit the inside of my lip, hesitating. "Because you scared me, Gavin," I said, my voice barely above a whisper, "when you shifted into your wolf form, I-I froze. I-I couldn't breathe, couldn't think, and I was scared of you."

I am still a bit afraid of you, but I know that I will be able to survive this...

"Hmph." His smirk grew deeper before he pulled the arrow away from my father's throat. "Are you still afraid of me?" he asked and raised his eyebrow higher.

Yes...

I gulped and hesitated before I slowly nodded.

"Good," he said and shoved my father to the ground before he looked at Leo. "Tie them up and make sure that they are away from everything and everyone. Is that understood?"

"Yes, Alpha," Leo said and nodded. He grabbed my arm and pulled me toward him and my heart skipped a beat before it started to pound in fear because I had no idea what he was planning on doing.

"Oh, and Belle, Dear," Gavin said, and I hesitated and looked at him to see that he was standing over my father. He sneered and kicked my father in the face, and there was this sickening crunch when he broke my father's nose.

My father bit back a groan of pain and grabbed his nose, twisting away from Gavin, and my heart sank into the pit of my stomach.

"No!" I exclaimed and lurched toward him but couldn't because Leo had both of my arms in his hands. Tears poured from my eyes, and all I wanted to do was go to my father and take care of him, but I still couldn't move because Leo was stronger than me and grabbed my arms a little too hard. "Papa!"

"I'm ok, Belle," my father groaned out through tears. "Stop struggling against Leonardo. I'm alive and am ok. I promise."

"For now," Gavin sneered. He bared his teeth and growled while he took a threatening step toward me. "If you do not behave, then I will kill your father. Is that understood?"

I stopped struggling against Leo and nodded, not able to speak.

"Speak, Goddess damnit," he snapped. "Do you understand?"

"Yes, Alpha," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I understand."

"Good." He looked at Leo. "Now, get them out of my sight."

And with that, he left, leaving my father broken on the ground and then me in Leo's arms in tears,

Oh, Goddess, no...
