I used to think you'd be in my life forever

With the friends we shared

But then you stopped coming around

And I was left with just the memories of what we had

The "what if's", if you had stayed that day

The friends we shared starting to split in half

We crumbled to pieces

But the memories are like yesterday

Everything in my mind was yesterday

If you came back would I be able to trust you?

He was the one that got away in all reality. He was (i don't know about now) the guy that played sports, but was smart. The way to describe it would be Clark Kent (Tom Welling) football quarterback, but also nerdy cute. If I'm being honest, if he came back I wouldn't want to be in a relationship or friends. It wouldn't be the same. But I would want some closure about how he felt about everything and I would hope he would want the same from me. The last thing I said to him was "thank you" and that was for having my back. That was the last time I seen him as my friend and not my ex boyfriend. I miss my friend.
