Chapter 31. Red Cap with Yellow Horns

Izuku leaned back into the stone wall interior of the hot spring onsen and let out a sigh of relief as his muscles felt the relaxing sensation of the warm water. It was 5:30 in the afternoon and Class 1A decided to take a soak in the onsen to relax their bodies before going to bed.

The hot springs are separated by gender, in order to keep the boys and girls separated. Much to the not-so secret disappointment of most of the girls, mainly Mina, Toru, Tsuyu, Himiko, and Mei.

Looking around, Izuku can see his classmates having the same relaxed reactions while some–Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima, are splashing water onto Katsuki, who was yelling profanities at the trio. Iida stood up, attempting to calm down the explosion user to no avail as the rest just snickered at them.

Izuku looked at them with a smile, remembering their smiles earlier this afternoon after lunch. Since they arrived at the place earlier than the hero's expected, they were given the chance to spend some leisure time. In which they used well to their enjoyment.

Though he made sure to keep Erasure up, he heard his classmates joking around how it would only take one sneeze before Kaminari fries everyone in the water. Izuku knew it was a joke, but it bothered him. That's why he was using Erasure. Better safe than fried.

Some of them use that time to enjoy stuff like playing outdoor games, studying the area, site seeing, and some of them even just enjoyed napping under the foliage of the thick trees. Despite them being hero trainees, they are still teenagers, they deserve some time-off even if it is just hours.

He too made himself comfortable by sleeping under the trees and felt the cool afternoon breeze pass by him. Though, he was confused and shocked to wake up with Kyoka sleeping beside him, her head leaning onto his shoulder.

He inwardly chuckled remembering the girl trying to explain herself while her face was beet red.

However, despite all of this relaxation plus them training tomorrow, something inside him still feels like something big is about to happen. Izuku wasn't sure why but he could picture a large event happening in the next couple of days. He just wasn't sure what that event was.

Sighing to himself, he placed his arms behind his head as he looked up. Doing so made him blink as he could see someone on top of the wall separating the bath houses.

Through the mist that the hot springs are producing, he could see a tiny figure perched on top. He narrowed his eyes to decipher who the person was. That is when he noticed a silhouette of a cap with horns and he recognized who it was.

"Kot–" he was about to call out for the boy, when Iida beat him to it.

"You! What are you doing up there!? It's dangerous you might fall!" the blue-haired boy said, walking out of the hot water of the hot springs.

Izuku saw the young boy scowling at them. "I'm here to make sure you idiots don't do something stupid!" the boy yelled back, glaring daggers at the Engine user.

"Aww, that's so thoughtful of you Kota!"

"You rock, Kota!"

Izuku heard Toru and Mina from the other side of the wall and made the boy turn. Before they knew it the boy was falling down the wall. Iida was about to jump towards the falling boy, when a blur of red, black, and green snatched the boy out of the air, preventing an accident from happening.

The boys blinked owlishly at what just happened. They looked at the person carrying the boy in his hands and saw Izuku, Blacklight swirling on his lower body as black shorts appeared, covering him.

Izuku excused himself from the group and carried Kota out of the onsen. He was going to bring him to Mandalay and tell her what had happened.

They were thinking of two things...
