Chapter 19 (Part 3)

Sarah began clapping and laughing at the sight of Austin getting pushed.

"Very well then." Austin smirked.

Moments later, Carter held Camila down and James ran over to Lauren, attempting to take Sarah from her arms. Lauren, taken back by the sudden action, she kicked James in the stomach before handing Sarah over to Dinah.

Ally and Normani stood there in shock of what was happening.

Lauren tried to push Carter off of Camila, but she was yanked back by Austin, before a loud sound of Austin's fist connecting with Lauren's nose.

"LAUREN!" Normani screamed before running over to her and watching blood pour from the girl's nose. Lauren gave Normani a thumbs up and a weak smile before straightening her posture. "Fuck you!" Lauren shouted, she kicked Austin's sensitive spot before erupting in laughter.

Camila watched Lauren's actions while still struggling with Carter. She got tired of trying to pull away, she mirrored Lauren's actions, causing Carter to fall back on the floor.

"Dinah, can you and Ally and Normani take Sarah home?" Lauren asked, once all three of the guys were on the ground. Dinah nodded along with Ally and Normani. She tightened her grip on the smiling and waving Sarah, as she headed towards the door.

Suddenly, James bolted towards the door, closing it before Dinah could step out with Sarah. Meanwhile, Ally and Normani had already made it out.

"That kid is mine. Give her to me." James demanded, looking Dinah dead in the eye. Dinah stepped forward, showing she wasn't afraid. "Fuck. Off." She hissed, her hot breath and spit hitting his face.

James pulled Sarah into his arms before powerfully pushing Dinah back onto the floor. Her head hit the edge of a table, causing her to bleed after contact.

"No! SARAH" Camila shouted before James successfully made it out the door with the little girl. Lauren ran over to Dinah, who was now wincing in pain. Ally came back into the household, her eyes fell on Dinah who now had a small puddle of blood underneath her head.

"I saw James run out, he drove off with Sarah in his car. But Normani is following him right now. We also managed to call the cops who should be here soon, along with the ambulance." Ally got out between breathes.

Camila felt a weight off her shoulders knowing that Normani was following James. The sound of sirens had filled the room. Ally moved aside letting the cops come in. They immediately handcuffed Austin and Carter. Dinah was quickly driven to the hospital alongside Lauren.

"I don't know what exactly happened. But you all need to come down to the station with us. We're not handcuffing you two because we know you won't try to run away and I'm almost positive you aren't guilty of anything." An officer said to Camila and Ally. They nodded, following the cops out the door into their car.

Normani's POV

Normani followed James' car, which had led to a house. She was unfamiliar with the household, but she followed as James got out of his car with Sarah. He made his way into the house, which the front door was strangely unlocked.

Normani entered the house, widening her eyes at the empty room she was led into. She watched as James put Sarah on the ground and began crying.

Sarah's eyes fluttered open, she reached up to wipe the tears from the man's face. "Don't cry. Camila told me when you cry the people in your head are sad. And I don't like making people sad. Do you?" She asked innocently.

James was taken back by Sarah's awakening. He weakly smiled and responded, "no."

"Don't cry then mister. I like your smile." Sarah said as she giggled. James softly laughed too.

"I miss your mom." James frowned. "I miss her too but now I have Meela, Lauren, aunty Dmac, Ally, No-er-mani, and you!" She smiled.

Normani laughed at the way Sarah pronounced her name.

"I'm sorry Sarah. Your mother is gone because of me..." James frowned once again. "I miss her but I know you mister. My mommy always told me about you, when I was in the hos-pee-tall she would tell me stories about you to make me feel better. She loves you. And Lauren told me love never goes away. I think she said that about Meela but its the same thing." She giggled.

Normani raised her eyebrows at the mention of Camila and Lauren.

"I love her too. And I love you." James smiled softly, causing Sarah to adorably scrunch up her nose. The action reminded Normani of Camila.

She walked into the room, interrupting the two figures on the floor, "I don't mean to intrude but I got a message from Lauren. Everyone is now at the police station." Normani said.

James looked up, smiling at Normani's presence. "Is Dinah okay? I really didn't mean to hurt her." James asked, sincerity was visible in his eyes. Normani nodded and gestured the two out the door.
