𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 when they're starting to slowly slip away? Did it start with the little things or was it just one big horrendous crashing realisation? Was it numbness or was it due to more extraneous variables? So many questions, and Spencer still didn't have the true as to what could fuck with her emotions so bad that a simple hang out with those who she called friends felt so....disconnecting.

Like she was an audience member at the back row of a film watching scenes of her life playing out before her eyes. She had the will to jump in at any moment, throw out a laugh at a joke of June's, or give her two cents on the treacherous weekend Inez had endured volunteering at some old people's home with her mother for the good of her pristine college application. Or even properly reply to Mandy questioning her whilst all three of them walked along a desolate sidewalk about why she'd bailed on thrifting and sneaking into a low-rent movie with her like she'd promised.

Fun and excitement, enduringly pleasant experiences.

Did summer turn her into a moody asshole or was this just the great effects of that harrowing grip of a problem that seemed to always show back up in her life whenever it best seemed convenient?

It was probably the second.

No, it was definitely the second.

Because no matter how much she tried to suppress it without the help of added prescriptions and a non-verbal pep talk in her mirror, the unbridled iron grip of her disjointed thoughts kept her castrated in one very cramped box.

Holy Shit

These were the times where looking on the bright side would probably help save her way more than anymore medication ever would.

Number one on that list? Lip

Disgustingly cheesily enough, seeing him again after a month and a half helped get her out of the dark gloomy hole she'd purposefully hidden herself in due to the constant knock backs she'd received since that dreary first college rejection letter showed up on her doorstep.
