I woke up feeling a bit disoriented, trying to piece together the events of the previous night, but my memory was a complete blank. It was like waking up from a deep sleep, but something felt off. I couldn't shake the feeling that I had a nightmare that disrupted my peaceful slumber.
I glanced at the clock and realized it was already 8 am. Panic set in as I realized I wasn't ready for the day. I quickly grabbed my bag and rummaged through it, finding a beautiful red saree. I knew I had to get ready in a hurry.
I hurriedly made my way to the bathroom, hoping a refreshing shower would help clear my mind. As I stepped out of the bathroom, still in my blouse and petticoat, I accidentally bumped into someone. It was him, the person I wasn't quite ready to face.
He started to say something but stopped abruptly, his gaze shifting away from me. I could see the surprise in his eyes, and I felt a mix of embarrassment and vulnerability. "Sorry, my bad," he muttered, quickly moving towards the cabinet.
Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't help but ask, "What time did you wake up?" I needed to distract myself from the awkwardness of the situation.
"7 o'clock. Why?" he replied, seemingly puzzled by my question.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should share my own confusion. "Oh, nothing," I replied, trying to brush off the oddity of the situation.
"Is everyone else awake?" I asked, hoping to shift the focus of the conversation.
"Yeah, don't worry. They're all getting ready in their rooms," he reassured me, offering a small smile.
" achaa," she was again about to ask something, but I cut off her.
"Oh God, you really talk too much! So, keep your mouth shut, wifey. Maybe it's good for you," I suggested, as she looked at me with an innocent expression. What the fuck? My eyes fell upon her neck, and it stirred up some strange feelings within me. Quickly, I averted my gaze and grabbed my towel, heading towards the bathroom.
"Are you going to take a shower?" she asked innocently once again.
I couldn't help but bite my lower lip as I caught sight of her face. With a mischievous grin, I replied, "Wanna join?" Her reaction was unexpected.
