I halted in front of Yadav's company - DERIVE

I marched into the building. The workers stopped their work upon seeing me but I went towards the lift. I stepped out into the top floor and saw the CEO's cabin. I entered in and found both Dharmika and Gautam sitting across a desk. 

" Heyy Abhi" Gautam greeted me with smile and I smiled back at him. Before  could speak something Dharmika cut me off

" What brings you to DERIVE Mr. Singhania " She asked coldly 

" Without a matter to discuss I wouldn't come here Ms. Yadav " I said as I sat beside Gautam

" Abhi , anything serious? " Gautam asked in an anxious tone.

" Gautam , you know about the position CODE-RED is currently under due to my mom's X post. The media is pressurizing me to know about my so-called-wife. And my mom is on hunt for her so-called-daughter-in-law" I answered

" So the news that you are getting married is a fake " Gautam enquired 

" No that is , unfortunately, true. And the issue here is that I don't have a bride ... "

" And how is that our concern ? " Dharmika cut me off

" Well you see Ms. Yadav. I am need of a bride who is not interested in my money , fame or looks. And my mom has shown me that kind of person who would rather go to jail than marry me "

" Wonderful piece of information. You may leave " She said in an annoyed tone.

" Let me continue. That girl is you " 

" WHAT " Gautam roared at me. 

" Gautam , listen to me you are my friend and this is the only thing i am asking you. Do not worry i wont even touch her or see her in bad light. All that would happen is just a change of surname and change of homes . Thats it " I tried to make it sound simple

" Are you F-king out of your mind Abhi. I value our friendship more than anything. But the is outrageous. "

" Gautam try to understand. I really need this marriage "

" SO YOU WANT ME TO RUIN MY SISTER'S LIFE FOR YOUR F-KING COMPANY" He yelled

" Gautam listen to me. Its going to be contract marriage for one year and after that she ... "

" Its a no " Dharmika cut me off. 

" Look at this video " I said passing my phone to her. she picked the phone and immediately her eyes widened. It was the security footage of me walking her to her hotel room.

" Cheap tricks but still a no " she said 

" Not worried about how much pressure media will put on you if they get hold of this video "

" I will explain them. Lie if needed " 

" Then i have no other option than to use this" I said as I pulled up my gun from its holster and kept it on table. Gautam immediately got up from there scoffing. She looked up and  shook her head slightly.

"This is not happening. I am not marrying you Mr. Singhania..."she said in a calm but loud voice

"I am not interested in marriage let alone you but this is the matter of the companies and I won't take any risk no matter what. And I know that you are not ready for a bad name for your company either " I said

After a long time ..."I am not doing this for anyone and only for my company " she muttered and spoke " I have my conditions "

My lips twitched a smirk "go ahead "

FYI : Dharmika who is quite a strong woman but did not fear the gun it was the situation that forced her to accept the marriage. And why she accepts it would be understood later on in the story
