Inside Weathervane, Tyler was at the counter having trouble with the espresso machine while Esmarie tried to use her phone to translate the instructions without much success. Tyler flinched and Esmarie coughed as the machine spewed out smoke, once it had cleared, Wednesday was standing in front of the counter, staring at them. "Holy crap!" Tyler exclaimed, startled while Esmarie furrowed her brows and checked the time, her session didn't start for another twenty minutes which meant that Wednesday had escaped. "Do you make a habit of scaring the hell out of people?" Tyler questioned her. "It's more of a hobby," Wednesday replied. "I can believe that," Esmarie said as she picked up her milkshake and sipped the straw.

"You got to Nevermore with Marie. Didn't realise they changed the uniform," Tyler expressed before looking at the blonde with soft eyes, Wednesday recognised the look in the boys' eyes and felt a pit form in her stomach along with the strange need to pull Esmarie closer to her but she ignored it. "I need a quad over ice. It's an emergency," Wednesday ordered however, Tyler simply stared at her while Esmarie happily sipped her milkshake, giggling herself when she blew into the shake creating bubbles. "It's four shots of espresso," Wednesday told him. "Yeah, I... I know what a quad is, but, spoiler alert, the espresso machine's having a seizure, so all we have is drip," Tyler replied to her motioning to the espresso machine.

"But drip is for people who hate themselves and know their lives have no real purpose or meaning," Wednesday complained causing a man who had been pouring the drip to awkwardly put the pot down and walk away, Esmarie pouting adorably as she felt bad for the man; the sight was kind of cute to Wednesday. "What's wrong with your machine?" Wednesday asked Tyler causing Esmarie to reply, "We have no idea. One moment is was fine and then the next, it went boom." Tyler and Wednesday watched Esmarie in amusement, she was sitting on the back counter and had used her hands to exaggerate the machine "blowing up" and spoke with a soft child-like tone that made both Tyler and Wednesday smile.

"Basically, it's a temperamental beast with a mind of its own," Tyler said as Esmarie picked up her milkshake to finish it, her eyes turned away from the two and focused on the cars driving by outside. "And it doesn't help that the instructions are in Italian," Tyler added with a defeated sigh. Wednesday walked to the other side of the counter and took the instructions from where Esmarie had placed them, she stood by the blonde as she read it. "I need a tri-wing screwdriver and a four-millimetre Allen wrench," Wednesday told Tyler. "Wait, you read Italian?" Esmarie asked softly, she tilted her head with interest; the action reminded Wednesday of a curious puppy. "Of course. It's the native tongue of Machiavelli," Wednesday replied to her.

"Here's the deal. I'm going to fix your coffee machine, then you're going to make my coffee and call a taxi," Wednesday told Tyler. "Uh, no taxis in Jericho. Try Uber?" Tyler replied to her. "I don't have a phone. I refuse to be a slave to technology," Wednesday expressed making Esmarie smile slightly. "Then you're out of luck," Tyler told her as she worked on fixing the espresso machine. "Where are you going anyway?" Esmarie asked, she was intrigued. "That's on a need-to-know basis," Wednesday replied to her before looking at Tyler, "What about trains?" Tyler sighed, "Nearest station is Burlington. It's half an hour away."
