S1E1: Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe

Wednesday had spent time redecorating her side of the room to make a space good enough for her to live in for the time being. "What the hell did you do to my room?" Enid exclaimed as she walked into the room, her eyes wide at the removal of colour on Wednesday's side of the window. "Dividing our room equally. It looks like a rainbow vomited on your side," Wednesday expressed as she sat at her desk typing away on a typewriter. "I--" Enid was cut off by Wednesday, "Silence would be appreciated. This is my writing time." Enid furrowed her brows, "Your writing time?" Wednesday pulled her sleeves up as she responded, "I devote an hour a day to my novel. Perhaps if you did the same, your vlog might be coherent. I've read serial killer diaries with better punctuation."

"I write in my voice," Enid snapped in offence, "It's my truth. It's what my followers love." Wednesday turned in her seat, "Your followers are clearly imbeciles. They respond to your stories with insipid little pictures." Enid looked at Wednesday in confusion, "Uh, you mean, emojis? It's how people express their feelings. I realise that's a foreign concept to you." Wednesday approached Enid with her usual glare, "When I look at you, the following emojis come to mind. Rope, shovel, hole." Wednesday turned away from Enid who was pissed off by Wednesday's words. "By the way, there are two D's in Addams. If you're going to gossip about me, at least spell my name correctly," Wednesday corrected.

Enid pulled her phone free from her pocket and tapped the screen a few times before a peppy pop song began playing from the phone's speakers. "Turn that off," Wednesday snapped at Enid, "This is your final warning." Enid was dancing ignoring Wednesday's warnings, the raven-haired girl approached Enid who let her claws free. "Rawr! Don't mess with me. This kitty's got claws, and I'm not afraid to use them," Enid warned despite the playful roar. The door to their room opened to reveal a woman holding a pot and Esmarie who held a book in her crossed arms, her crow once again perched on her shoulder.

Enid returned her claws and hid her hands behind her back as the woman and Esmarie entered the room, both the roommates turned their attention to the two of them. "Good evening," The woman spoke, "Oh, sorry about the mud." Wednesday looked at the woman who had red hair, black glasses and red boots that stood out; the flower pot in her hand. "I wanted to make sure that Wednesday was settling in. Ah, is this a bad time?" She asked receiving a shake of the head from Enid before continuing, "I'm Ms Thornhill, your dorm mom. Apologies, I wasn't here to greet you when you arrived. I trust Enid has given you the old Nevermore welcome."

"She's been smothering me with hospitality. I hope to return the favour. In her sleep," Wednesday replied with a threat in her words, Enid glared at her while Esmarie was left amused by the two; she had a feeling Wednesday and Enid would the best of friends eventually. "Well, here's a little welcome gift from my conservatory. I try to match the right flower to each of my girls. When I read your personal statement in your application, I had a little trouble until my best student here assisted me and thought of this one immediately," Ms Thornhill expressed as she held out the flower pot to Wednesday who took it. "The Black Dahlia," Wednesday acknowledged, she looked at Esmarie who became shy.
