The Missing Detective

Did you think it was over?

Everywhere Eva saw the triangle symbol and kept hearing things.
That must have been her father, trying to make her go insane.

This device he placed in Eva's body probably works once Eva goes insane so that way, he could start to half-control Eva After some time. Another guess of mine, of course.

He also knew that I was Eva's partner and that she got to see me everyday so he must have broken into my office to also draw a symbol on me.

He wrote a case paper about Eva and probably sent it to her post too.
This way, Eva would completely go insane.
After controlling her, he was able to lure her to the Lake of Abyss, where no one dares to go.
This way, he would be able to kidnap Eva without being seen.

Eva then was being held hostage by her father for more than a month and was getting abused by him everyday.
I dont know if she even got food or water but she survived it somehow.

Eva kept trying to come in contact with me in my dreams and once she finally succeeded, she gave me her location.
Her father must have realised that she was doing this by the device inside her and tried to stop her.
That is why Eva told me to wake up quickly.

Her father would abuse her again as a punishment if I was late.
When I finally got there, her father knew there was no going back and he pushed me inside the 'base' too.

I cut the rope Eva was hanging from and we both Fell.
Her father must have quickly entered the base from the actual entrance to kill us both but right when he broke the wall, the police came.

As from what I've heard, Jake installed some location tracking app on my phone to track my location just in case I Would go somewhere suspicious so they could call the police.

He must have told this to Tim.
Mike and Tim are close friends so Tim must have told Mike about this.

They then called the police once I arrived at the suspicious location.
Now we are at the hospital.

There are still some questions that are unanswered.

Who is this 'unknown number'..

How did they get Eva's phone and
why did they want to help me solve this case..?

"-Ivyyy.. Ivy. Wake up c'monn."

"-You can't sleep forever!"

Try to open my eyes once more.

"-Hey, I see your eyes open~"

"Ugh... Eva keep your voice down"

"-Hehe youre finally awake! You've been sleeping for a while you sleepyhead~"

"I wonder why."

She is sitting on my bed.
Did she really recover that quickly..

I finally start to See normal again.
Her gaze fixed on mine.
Looking me dead in the eye.. no,
not this time.
Looking me happily in the eye.
Her smile.

I could look at it the whole day and not get bored of it.
I stand up and sit next to her, looking at the floor mostly while she is still looking at me.
I have a guilty feeling for some reason.
I didn't do anything wrong, did I?

"Eva."

"-Yes ma'am"

".. Tell me a joke."

"-I think you hit your head too hard."

"Oh really. Eva. C'mon tell me a joke."

"-Hmm if you say so. Okay what did the sushi say to the bee?
Wasabee."

".."

No, I didn't even laugh.
I just hugged her, that's it.
She hugged me back though.
Very, very tightly.

She later told me everything that happened.

What could I make out of it?
That what happened and my own conclusion were word to word the same.

Only thing that I didn't have in my conclusion was the unknown number.
I did say her mother left them at a young age,
but she was still alive.

Eva's mother got Eva's phone number from the detectives Website and sent her some messages to warn her.

Her mother knew that her father was up to something bad so she tried to warn Eva, but couldn't succeed.

Her mother knew that the father would take Eva's phone and destroy it and since her mother knew the fathers location, she firstly deleted her chat with Eva just in case he wouldn't be able to read through and later on,
her mother would steal the phone. She could find Eva's Work partner on the Website too, which was me, so she texted me and Sent the phone to me, so that I could actually find Eva.

The reason why she herself didn't help Eva is still unknown.

Maybe she was also being held hostage by the father..

Well, now theyre all safe since the father is now in jail.

After having to stay at the hospital for a few days, we could finally go home. Eva to her home with her brother and I went to my home, my office.

I was happy I could finally finish paperwork about case number 200.
I was glad I could finally get to work together with Eva again.
I was excited for our next case together.

I got a notification.. is it a new case? Let me take a look.

I open my phone to check who it is.
Another unknown number texted me.

"-Is this detective Ivy?"

"Yes, how may I help and who am I talking to right now?"

"-Check case number 250."

"We have no Case number 250..?"

Just then it knocked on the door. There was a paper on the ground.
I took it to my desk and took a look at it.

"Case number 250: Missing detective.
