Welcome to yet another probably soon to be discontinued attempt at a Grey's Anatomy story.
In this universe, Mercy Torres is adopted by Callie when she's about fifteen. People are already dead/still die, and this is set around 2013/14 when George, Mark, and Lexie are already dead but Derek hasn't died yet.
This is a supernatural/ghost story, so it's mostly make believe and I'm just hijacking Shonda's characters to drive it. It gets to the ghost stuff straight away as the plan is to have this span the course of a few years as Mercy learns why she's able to see and talk to them. I came up with this idea one night while on the cusp of falling asleep and have developed it further to the point that I can't stand to not write it and make it make sense.
