March 25, 1983

"Did you see the look on Gordy's face? priceless!" Erika laughed as we all walked out the building together holding each other's hands laughing. Our performance went very well, Michael was emotional seeing me perform he was more of a crybaby than me

"I could hear the voice in his head! What the hell are those girls doing!?" Tina deepened her voice trying to do an expression of Gordy, My face was stuck in a laughing matter "How'd you girls pull it off?" Marlon jogged up towards us with Randy and Jermaine

"We can't just tell you our sneaky ways Marlon" Tina rolled her eyes "Oh that's easy..bribery!" I grinned happily looking at the three boys who looked at me like i was crazy

Jermaine sighed shaking his head in disbelief "We've created a monster" He said, "Well you guys did bribed her by giving her money when she was younger to not snitch on you" Erika put her chin on my head bringing up the time they kept me quiet when they brought girls to house

"You look good out there miss E" Marlon flickered Erika's nose licking his lips, he had a hungry smirk on his face with his eyes filled with lust. I just looked away not paying attention to them since it wasn't much i could say or do, Tina let out a scoff

When my eyes were moving around they landed on Michael and Diana Ross. Her..hands were all over his arm laughing and smiling with his hand on her back whispering to her. I knew Michael always had a celebrity crush on Diana but I didn't look too much into it because of their age difference.

"Excuse me" I said to Erika removing myself from her head hold and began walking towards Michael. My fist clenched as the rushing thoughts were coming in all at once of the possibilities

"You looked fantastic on the stage baby girl"

That voice?

My head turned to the right with my eyes landing on my father standing there with his hands in his pockets. He was nervous, you could tell by his posture and body language.

I looked at Michael and Diana then back at my father, I groaned walking up to my father "What are you doing here?" My voice was sharp and aggressive

"Calm down Angela i just want to talk please walk with me" He pleaded with his hands out, I looked back at Michael chewing my lip "Fine."

I frowned turning my head away from Michael and Diana's direction and began walking with my Father. The air was filled with nothing but awkwardness, my gut was uneasy, my palms were sweaty.

We stopped in front of the car leaning against the hood. I cleared my throat looking down at my feet "Why'd you try to ruin my career? over something so small?" I asked him

He opened his mouth to say something making a sound but I beat him to the bunch "Do you know how humiliating that was? People were dragging my name through the dirt with lies and false information! Then not only you did that you bribed Thomas White to stop me from making music because of your selfishness! You even brought that Dick head Darren in betwee-"

"I did not bring that prick into anything! I wouldn't dare bring that son of bitch into- Angela those people were digging into your life and came to him asking for information" He semi yelled "Because of you! Because of you Daddy!" I shouted looking at him with bloodshot red eyes

He groaned loudly kicking the tire of his car pacing around "I messed up! Angela I messed up! I can't take none of it back but I damn sure suffered the consequences! I was hurt and selfish about you being pregnant and you continuing music while being pregnant was going to do nothing but tire you down" He stuttered most of his words out attempting to apologize

"You're my baby and will always be my baby. You telling me that you were pregnant when you're just not starting school and getting invested into life brought me down and made me feel like a failure. Day and Night i sat in my office with a drink trying to figure out what did i do wrong for this to happen" His voice cracked but cleared his throat to hide it

My face was filled with nothing but sadness watching him trying to understand the situation, everything was unexpected and if i put myself in my parents shoes i understood how they felt if my child was young and pregnant

"Daddy you didn't go wrong with me. Yes there was a lot of consequences in my life with the constant pressure on becoming a artist and y'all barely being around i was still grateful for it but daddy I'm growing up and you have to understand that" I stepped up to him

"I'm not ready to become a mom i can admit that but this is my choice to become one and that's been something i wanted for a long time now with a special someone" I whispered thinking about Michael but the thoughts of Diana rubbing his arm like that crossed my path

"I need my parents. I need my family and it's hard daddy it's hard! I can forgive you and mom but you two have to promise me to become better and accept the fact that i'm not a baby anymore" My father looked at me with tears in his eyes rubbing my head before pulling me into a hug

"Okay...but you'll always be my baby girl" He told me , I wrapped my arms around my father hugging him tight. I needed this a lot and needed to be at home with my family.

I closed my eyes thinking about Michael and Diana ross again, Maybe i should keep my distance for a while from everyone for a little bit.

"Daddy I want to go home" I mumbled against his chest "We can go home" He said pulling away from the hug sniffing wiping his face with his sleeve

He went over to his car and opened up the car door for me to get inside. I got into the car closing the door instantly, putting my seatbelt on. My father got into the car putting his seatbelt on, starting the car.

We drove through the parking lot passing Michael and them, I looked forward avoiding eye contact with them wiping the fallen tear. Feeling their eyes on me in confusion watching the car drive away.
