for people that want to skip past this (don't read this if you want spoilers read the good juicy stuff below BABIL POV k) : babil wakes up and polly hands him the phone chats with sunny about how high school drama is weird as balls and then afterward he has some gay thoughts
little orchid here thought it was funny if he made it so that little trauma babil thought sunny was leaving him and then in the dream fight sunny ties a noose around his neck boom killed babil like "HOLY SHIT" and then starts doing bad coping habits
Sunny went to go see basil realizes hes almost dead they have a gay moment boom chapter done

BABIL POV

W...what? I'm back home? I thought I was...still at school. I got into that fight...my head hurts like hell. Polly comes in holding some floral tea.
"Your friend Sunny got you here. He said for you to call him when you're back."
Polly hands me the phone.
"Bzzt...hello?"
"Sunny! What happened?"
"Well, after you went unconscious I stabbed them and they ran away."
He...stabbed them?"
"I TOLD YOU TO NOT DO ANYTHING STUPID!"
"That's why I used a pencil instead of a knife.
"Still...you can't just use your fists to solve everything."
"I know..."
"I guess...this one time...they won't listen, so..."
"I didn't want to harm them, I just wanted them to stop. When someone fights you with fists, the only logical thing to do is fight back."

"..."
"I'm just trying to protect you, Basil. People in high school are different. Everybody shows aggression to hide their own insecurities."
He...wanted...to protect me?
"Hey, what are best friends for?" oops sorry autocorrect i meant boyfriend but uh too lazy to edit
"Y-yeah."
"Bzzt..."

I just wish I wasn't so weak, so helpless that I always need someone to save me. With Aubrey, with those kids at school, even when I was about to...no, no! Don't think about that.

"I've already saved you so many times. How about you get someone else to do it?"
The room changes to the treehouse.
"Sunny, what are you doing?"
*He ties a knot, ready to do...something.
"I'd rather be dead than be in a world with you."
"Sunny, I love you!"
"Who said I loved you back?" (me reading this: THAT MOTHER FU-)
*A boy hangs from the trees. 5 turns left.
*CUT
Basil takes 20 damage!
Why are you so weak? 4 turns left.
*CUT
Basil takes 20 damage!
You can't protect the one person you love the most. 3 turns left.
*CUT
Basil takes 20 damage!
If it weren't for you everything would have been right. 2 turns left.
*CUT

Sunny wouldn't have locked himself in. Hero wouldn't have cried for so long. Kel wouldn't have tried to not show it when he knew. Mari would hate you. 1 turn left.
*STAB
Basil takes 143 damage!

Sunny POV
Thankfully my mom's cool and let's me drive to faraway town a lot (as long as I have good grades, why do I need to learn how to solve quadratic formulas but not doing taxes) so at least I can have everyone come to Basil.
"Basil? Helllloooooo?" Kel knocks impolitely.
"Hello?" Polly answers the door.
"We're here to see Basil."
"Oh, well, he's a bit sick at the moment..."
"We're just here to be with him. It's fine if he's sleeping." Hero answers.
"Oh, well come in!"

I immediately go to Basil's room while the others start to make soup for him. I knock on his door.
"Basil...are you okay?"
"...S...sunny..."
"Basil? Are you okay?"
I open his door to find him motionless, on the ground with new cuts. Holy. Shit.
I check his pulse. Looks like it's still beating...barely.
"B-basil?"
I drag him back to his bed.
"Basil...do you feel okay?"
"...Sunny..." He quietly whispers.
"Basil, you stay right there, everybody's here. I'm going to go get some soup, okay?"
"N-no, Sunny, don't...leave me..."
"...Okay."

I watch him rest, and get my first aid kit. I cover up all of his cuts.
"Okay, that should be all of them."
*You hug Basil.
*...he doesn't feel like new.
He winces at touch.
"Basil, are you...lift up your shirt." (NOW BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING)
"Sunny...I'm fi-ow..."
I lift it up to find a three inch slash on his chest.
"Basil, what happened to you?"
"..."
Gauze works for now. I can't stand to look at the blood.
A knock starts on his door.
"Sunny? I finished the soup."
"...do you want them in?" I ask.
"N-no, my head hurts, I don't want more."
"Okay."

I tell Hero and the others to wait and let me talk to him first.
"Basil, what happened?"
"..."
He throws himself into my arms, sobbing.
"Please...don't leave me..."
"Basil, where did that come from? Did Orchid do this to you?"
"T-they showed you...dead. On the trees. And..."
"Shh...I'm sorry I haven't been there for you all this time. I've locked myself in for four years, not ever wondering how my friends felt. I feel like such a crummy friend for that. Especially since...we're..."
Best friends? I...I didn't want to be just...no, there's no way he'd let...he'd let a murderer...
"...best friends."
"T-thanks."
"Now, if you ever need to talk to someone, you can always talk to me. Anything."
"T-thank you..."
"Now do you want some soup? Do you want us to make you tofu, your favorite?" (It's canon btw search it up on the fandom)
"Soup would be nice."
I open the door for everybody.
"BASIL! ARE YOU OKAY-"
"Shhh, not so loud, Kel!" Aubrey punches Kel.
"...sorry."
He slowly drinks his soup.
"Thank you..."
"Ah, it's nothing!"

"Wow," Kel looks at his arms. "They beat you up pretty bad!" If only he knew...
"Y-yeah..."
"Well, rest well. We're just a call away." Aubrey walks away.
"Bye..."
They all leave.
"You know, Sunny, you can leave too now."
"No, I want to stay for a little while."
"Why?"
"I just want to make it clear. I won't leave you, okay?"
"..."
*You hug Basil.
*You and your friends...are damaged, but feel better.
"You don't need to do this. Take it one step at a time. Try to OVERCOME."
"...okay."
"See you later."

I walk away from his house.
"Hey, asshole, we were all waiting for you." says Aubrey impatiently.
"AUBREY! LANGUAGE!"
"Well, sorr-ee, Hero."
"I think I'm going to head home. Bye, guys!"

we still need to do Gladiolus Cactus and instead of Lily of the Valley and White Tulip I'm going to do flower crown so only like 5 more chapters probably
