Something is going on with all of them. They don't want to tell me. Why don't they want to tell me? Hermione told us that there was going to be an announcement in the Great Hall. That's where we are headed right now. Maru went to get Draco, Blaise, and Leo.

I can't stop thinking about what could be wrong. What if they are all in trouble? They can't be. I think.

We walk in. The room is separated by tables. Slytherin is far right. Gryffindor in-front. Ravenclaw. Then Hufflepuff. We always sit towards the exit. We don't like any of the assemblies that they make us attend.

We sit at the end of the table. Maru, Diana, and Draco sitting at my side and the rest are in front of us. They start talking to each other. I'm too busy thinking about what they were talking about. It can't be that bad.

When Diana translated that Latin saying. It all went downhill after that. Theo and Mattheo went outside and were gone for a bit. Now Lorenzo looks nervous.

There's nothing I can do now. They aren't gonna tell me. I know they won't. They always think I can't take care of myself.

"What the fuck," Mattheo says as Dumbledore announces the Tri-wizard Tournament. The boys want to join. It's risky. I don't think they should join. But they won't listen to me.

I know they won't. Mattheo's angry after they announced only people above the age of 17 could put their name in the cup. We are only 15.

"I think Dumbledore is a stupid bloke," Enzo says making Draco snicker. The boys despise him. They say he favorites Harry.

Maybe he does. I don't pay attention to either of them. Well. Of course, the boys would pay attention to them. They get in trouble most of the time.

"Only above 17? That's stupid. Does he think the students won't try to manipulate it?" Draco says. Blaise looks at him. "Of course he does," He says making Mattheo smirk.

The only teacher the boys like is Professor McGonagall. Actually. I think Enz likes her.

We have a new professor. His name is Alastor Moody. He's an auror. A dark wizard catcher. Half the cells in Azkaban are filled up because of him. He looks creepy though.

As Dumbledore reveals The Goblet of Fire. Everyone stares at it in awe. "You may now be dismissed,"

Dumbledore says as Mattheo and Enzo are the first out the door. I get off the bench. Diana and Maru are in front of me. Theo's next to me. It feels awkward.

"So," He says clearing his throat. I look up at him. "What do you think about the tournament?"

"I'm happy you all can't enter," I say. He looks down at me. He also feels the tension. I know he does. "What's wrong?" He says. I want to scoff but I don't. "What's going on? You, Enzo, and Mattheo have been acting weird?" I say. His eyes darken as if I said something to bring back a bad memory.

I keep my gaze on him as he looks away for a moment. He's holding something back. I know he is. "It's about Mattheo's dad," He whispers. My heart drops. "Oh." I managed to let out. I know Mattheos dad is a sensitive topic for all of us.

"Yeah. Don't bring it up to Mattheo. I don't want him to think about it," He says.

"I won't."

The next morning after breakfast, we had to go to the new professor's class. He's our new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher. I've never seen this classroom. Surprisingly everyone's in the class. This should end well.

I sit down next to Enzo. He and I don't get into trouble like the rest of them.

"Alastor Moody. Ex-Auror. Ministry malcontent and your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher," He says as he turns to us. He's mental.

All for you. (Theo Nott)Where stories live. Discover now
