Why do I only write melancholy poetry?
I can be happy,
Just watch and see.
The sun is out
I'm out and about
On my usual park route
I run into my friend
And we tend
To spend
All today together
My friend has news
Maybe this can help amuse
Me on the walk that i choose
To help chase the blues
Away.
She's dropping out
Oh
This can't be that bad
Hopefully her decision made her glad,
Since school is causing her to be sad.
But you're sad.
Oh.
Why do I only write melancholy poetry?
I should be happy.
Just watch and see.
There's this guy
Who I want to buy
A clock and make it pleasing to the eye.
I have the clock.
Now all I can do is wait and watch
What he likes and find what marks
He likes.
He only sees you as a friend
Oh
This can't be that bad
Hopefully him telling me, made him glad,
Since holding it in made him sad.
But you're sad.
Oh.

Doing a pool's
Worth of work like a mule,
But with barely anything to fuel.
But that's not enough.
