Ten Days: The Dawn

Chapter 15

Edna appears at the capital for a speech. 

"Your council is at war, your head is dead. The dark caster Grey has slain her, she was a good woman. 

Defender of all that's good. The keeper of the deep. 

She asked me to head the council from now on".

At the sound of that, the whole capital is noisy with murmurings of disbelief. "Be quiet!".

The silence comes back as before. "I'm now the head, I know the way you don't know. I'm her closest ally, I'm the next uncontrollable to Grey. 

She was a dark caster!".

A stronger murmuring hits the crowd and they yell back at her, it looks like a revolution against her. 

She backs out to the room where the omna is kept, she touches it. She's charged. 

She goes back and places everyone under a spell, they're under her control now. 

This is not right. 

If all that is light turns dark, who will guard the deep? 

Olive and April get to the museum. They're looking for the pattern, if they fail lord Grey will have their heads for stools and their blood for ink. 

Olive looks around for some minutes, "Where's the freaking pattern? I'm not sure it's here", "We can't quit Olive, you know that". April's taking no chances at the museum. 

Suddenly Olive takes a rest on a pillar, which creates a pattern opening. The stairs are revealed. 

"I can't believe it, the stairs to the capital, the Omna's there. I know it. 

All the light casters live there, the energy source. That's why they got to him first. 

The portal is here somewhere. We need to find it".

"Olive why there and not here, we need the orb, not the omna".

Olive walks around for a while, "Jake went through here, that's how they saw him. He took the orb before they took him unaware of his deeds". 

"We need to reach the capital now", Olive gives an idea "walk to the middle".

The duo walk to the middle, a portal opens up for them. They walk into it. 

They reach the end and discover Graxe, "the light casters know when a dark caster arrives we need to walk cautiously", she nods. 

They make a portal to the omna, they see a door with a lock. There's no way they are getting through, we need a light caster to go through. 

"Olive this is not important, we need the orb not this. Jake is more important than this. Focus Olive. 

Let's move to Egypt right now, I know he's there".

Olive resists for a while. 

"Olive, we don't have enough time. May is close to Olive. 

It's either we bring Jake and the orb or we die. Choose Olive, choose".

Olive looks for a while as she walks away from him. 

He follows behind afterward. 

"The omna is a strong force for light if we can catch it. The light casters and others will have nothing but weakness in them. 

That's why I'm thinking of it".

April turns to him, "Okay Olive, first the orb then Jake. Then maybe only you can come back for the omna. Got it?".
