You're insecure

Robaire planned to take you on a walk in the garden at nighttime, so when it came you eventually decided; you're going to dress up for him.

You stood in front of your mirror, tugging uncomfortably at the hem of the tight-fitting dress you'd reluctantly chosen for tonight's plans. Despite your efforts to convince yourself otherwise, the reflection staring back at you only intensified the feelings of insecurity swirling inside you. Your mind echoed with self-doubt, each negative thought louder than the last.

As you heard Robaire's knock on the door, you hesitated for a moment before finally mustering the courage to tell him that he can come in. His charming smile faltered slightly as he took in your appearance, his eyes flickering with concern as he noticed the way you fidgeted with the fabric of your dress. His first thought was that how beautiful you were, but he noticed the way you felt first, and he didn't like it.

"Is everything okay?" Robaire asked softly, stepping closer to you with a gentle expression. Moving like a panther. He wanted to tell you how perfect you looked, but he figured that there was something up. "You seem tense."

You swallowed hard, struggling to find the right words to express the turmoil churning within you. "I... I don't like how I look, in this." you admitted quietly, your voice barely above a whisper.

Robaire's heart ached at the raw vulnerability in your voice, and he immediately reached out to cup your face in his hands, his touch warm and reassuring. "Hey, look at me," he murmured, tilting your chin up so that your eyes met his. "You are absolutely stunning, okay? Your body is beautiful just the way it is, and anyone who says otherwise is blind." He chuckled. "Fuck, you're.." He took a breath in. "perfect."

He brushed his thumb across your cheek, his gaze unwavering as he spoke, he kept his eyes on yours.

"But more importantly, your beauty goes far beyond what anyone can see on the surface. You have a heart of gold, a mind full of brilliance, and a spirit that shines brighter than any star in the sky. That's what truly makes you extraordinary, and I'm so grateful to have you in my life."

With his words ringing in your ears, you felt a flicker of hope ignite within you, pushing back against the darkness of your insecurities. And as Robaire took one of your palms to plant a kiss on your hand, then wrapped his arms around you in a comforting embrace, you couldn't help but believe that maybe, just maybe, you were worthy of love and acceptance after all.

Tae wanted to take you out to his birdhouse tonight, hoping that that will make you feel better about your current situation.

You nervously smoothed down the fabric of your dress, feeling self-conscious as you waited for Tae to come up and get you. Despite your efforts to look presentable, you couldn't shake the nagging feeling of inadequacy that gnawed at your confidence. When you heard Tae's cheerful knock on the door, you took a deep breath and opened it, forcing a smile onto your face despite the turmoil swirling inside you.

But as soon as Tae caught sight of you, his face lit up with unbridled joy, his eyes widening in awe as he took in your appearance. "Wow!" he exclaimed, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement. "You look amazing!"

Your heart clenched at the sincerity in his words, knowing that he meant every single one of them.

But despite his effusive praise, you couldn't help but feel a pang of imperfection as you looked away, unable to meet his gaze as you closed the door behind him, not ready to leave your room yet.

"What's wrong?" Tae asked with big eyes, his voice tinged with concern as he stepped closer to you, reaching out to gently tilt your face up with both of his palms on your face so that you were forced to look at him. He wanted to get a better look at you. "Why do you look so sad?"
