We don't know much about these creatures minus that they came from the construction zone in the mountain and they're hard as fuck to kill.
Luckily, they don't have the best eyesight but they seem to have a sense of some kind that tells them if something or someone is around. Perhaps something like motion or heat vision...
If you're ever unfortunate enough to be up close to one, you would find its skin is like a naked mole rat and they secrete some sort of paralytic slime from spores on their legs.
Then again, you probably won't live to pass that information on to someone at that point.
And like I mentioned before, hard as fuck to kill.
Their "skin" is surprisingly tough and these things eat up bullets like nothing.
Fire seems to be a good deterrent for them for now but they seem to evolve every day.
And what's worse?
They're multiplying faster than we can figure out how to destroy them.
