Proud

I was sat on the couch at home watching the Barcelona vs Mallorca and my boyfriend, Pau Cubarsi. He was on the starting 11 and positioned in the central defense, alongside Inigo Martinez.

It was now the 73th minute and the score was still tied at 0-0, the biggest chance that we had gotten was a penalty in the 22nd minute, however Ilkay Gundogan had missed it. I turned my eyes towards my phone for a second and all I heard was a massive roar coming from the tv screen. I returned my gaze back to the screen and read 1-0 Barcelona on the score in the top left corner. "Ahhhhh" I screamed in excitement and happiness. Lamine Yamal had been able to finish the job and put the ball in the back of the net. I was in shock as I watched on, all the way until the final whistle had been blown.

I immediately picked my phone up and sent a text to my boyfriend.

"Pau I'm so proud of you, you were amazing out there today and I can't wait till you're home xx"

*sent*

I smiled as he send back a few heart emojis in response.

The match had ended just over an hour ago now and I knew Pau would be home soon, so I cleaned the house and made him a small plate of food and sat on the couch until he was home.

"Mi amor, I'm home" he shouted as he strolled through the door. I jumped up and ran to the front door, throwing my arms around his neck, barely giving him the chance to breathe. "Well hello to you too." He chuckled, "You okay?" He asked, "mhm, I'm just glad you're home, that's all." I said as I pulled back to look into his eyes and gently pressed my lips onto his. He kissed back instantly. "I made you some food if you like, or I can save it for tomorrow?" I smiled up at him. "Can we just cuddle and fall asleep, I'll eat it tomorrow, I promise, I just want to be in you're arms. I'm sorry." He apologized, "No, you don't need to say sorry or apologize, I know you're tired. Just go upstairs, and I'll be there in a minute" I kissed him once again.

I put the food in the fridge and made my way up stairs to our bedroom, he was already laying in bed shirtless and just wearing some shorts. I walked over to our shared walk in closet, stumbling in and out of sight from Pau. I removed my sweat pants and underwear to replace them with a fresh pair of Pau's boxers.  then I pulled out one of his jerseys with the number '33' on the back of it and threw that on after taking my previous top of and throwing it on the floor until tomorrow.

I walked back into our room and he was sat on his phone. I put mine on charge next to our bed and climbed into bed. He smiled as he returned his gaze back to me. "What?" I asked, noticing his gaze upon me, "nothing, you just look so good wearing my name on your back, and in my underwear, in my bed, my girlfriend, my gorgeous woman." He explained, making me blush and hide my face in his side. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me, knowing that he still makes me nervous.

We stayed like that for 5 minutes just relaxing into each other until I spoke up. "You do know how proud I am of you, right?" he nodded, "On the starting 11, playing the full game and making great tackles and defending amazingly." I praised. "Thank you" he kissed the top of my head. "C'mon" he said laying down flat on his back, he held his arms open, as if to say 'come here and cuddle with me.' I clambered onto him and he held me tightly and close, as if I would break because of the air.

We fell asleep together, holding each other as we have many, countless times before.

A small cute one to praise him on what he did last night against Mallorca because he was absolutely amazing and he deserves to be celebrated. Also Marc Guiu was on the starting line-up as well so last night was absolute dreams.

Pau doesn't get written about on here and I thought it was about time. We all love him and he's so fit, but cute as well. ❤️❤️
