"Tk? Are you okay ?" Judd asked shaking Tk's shoulder
Where was he - he fell asleep by the tub

Tk shot up as Judd startled him "Sorry.." Tk said pulling his knees to his chest "Why are you on the bathroom floor were you sick ?" Judd said but Tk didn't respond "You know it doesn't matter would you mind if we went out and hung out ?" Judd asked, "You wanna hang out ?" Tk asked still on the floor "Yeah if you want to.. I want to talk about some stuff ." Judd said, "Get ready I'll be in the car ." Judd said

Tk met Judd in the car "Do you want some coffee after where you slept last night you look like you could use it ." Judd said, "No I'm okay ." Tk said biting his fingernails" You don't like coffee what about tea ?" Judd asked, "I like coffee I just can't pay you ." Tk said, "My accounts belong to my ex." Tk said his leg bouncing up and down anxiously " he's the one who almost killed you ?" Judd said Tk just nodded "You don't owe me any explanation. I'm getting you a coffee whether you like it or not and you don't owe me anything for it ." Judd said as they pulled up
"You like yours hot or iced ." Judd asked "Iced please .' Tk said anxiously
Once they had their coffee they went back to the car "Thanks." Tk said, "Don't mention it ." Judd said, "If you don't want me to come with you guys to Texas I won't." Tk said nervously "What are you talking about ." Judd asked confused "Did I say something that would make you think that ?" Judd said, "Well I kinda just came into your life i know you can't be happy about it ." Tk said softly
" you've been part of my life since you were born you never stopped ." Judd said turning to face Tk " Was I ideally happy when I said she was pregnant no but I got over it when you became my best friend we used to do everything together." Judd said " And that day mom took you - I wasn't at school I ditched I could have stopped her-." Judd said, "It's not your fault ." Tk said as he saw Judd tear up "I want you to come with us i don't want you to leave us again ."  Judd said ruffling Tk's hair

1 month later.

Now the 126 was finally up and running the whole crew was assembled Tk still didn't speak much and was always very anxious

"You starring ." Nancy corrected him when they were cleaning up after a call "hm?" Tk said, "No I'm not." Tk said but he was "that's Carlos ." Nancy said, "You know him ?" Tk said trying not to stare "Yeah he hangs out with my old captain and he comes to the first responder bar a lot with us you would know If you came once." Nancy teased

"Hey, Carlos !" Nancy called "What are you doing ." Tk said ducking his head down "Matchmaking." Nancy said as Carlos came over "Hey what's up ?" Carlos said, " I just wanted you to meet my work bestie ." Nancy said looking over at Tk Tk was speechless Nancy nudged him to speak

" hi ." Tk said Carlos laughed " Tk nice name ." Carlos said as something came over the radio

"Duty calls," Carlos said

" how did he know my name ?" Tk asked

" oh, I don't know your name tag dumb ass." Nancy said, " god you gays are so oblivious ." Nancy teased

Later that day he said at the counter in the kitchen when Owen came in " I'm making smoothies want one ?" Owen asked "Sure." Tk said with a sigh "Are they that bad?" Owen joked

" no can I ask you something?" Tk said, "Shoot."
" how do I know if I'm ready for the date again?" Tk said

"Who do you like ??" Owen smiled "Dad." Tk said with a straight face shortly after they moved, he started calling on Dad. He carried a lot of trauma around with him. He was still jumpy and had issues it made Owen happy that TK was finally comfortable enough to call him dad again.

" just because you had one bad relationship doesn't mean everybody's bad you shouldn't Stop living your life because of what that prick did to you," Owen said

" but it's up to you to explore it if it feels right, go with it if it doesn't you just need some time and I'm always here although I might not be the best for relationship advice I have been through three wives. You might want to talk to Judd about that.." Owen laughed

That night Tk went to the bar "You came!!!!" Nancy said running over to hug TK "Your officer Mchotty is over there why don't you go say hi ." Nancy said, "No I can't I already made a fool out of myself earlier I can't do it twice ." Tk said sipping on a mineral water

Nancy was the only one who knew on the team other than Judd and Owen about what happened to Tk that's why they were so close Nancy looked after Tk she saw him as a little brother

" wanna dance ." Carlos said coming up to Tk and Nancy Nancy took that as her cue to leave "I'm not very good ." Tk said

" I'll teach you," Carlos said

They line danced with the rest of the crew "You not too bad for being from New York ." Carlos said

Next thing Tk knew they were in a bathroom stall Carlos took off tks shirt mid-make-out out but when he went to move down to the pants, he noticed the multiple scars across his abdomen
" what are those?" Carlos asked Tk froze " I need to go ." Tk grabbed his shirt quickly and zipped his fly up before flying out of the bathroom he rushed outside the bar where he threw up in a bush

He Ubered home he didn't want to bother his dad for a ride he didn't wanna cut everybody else's night short

"Have you seen Tk ?" Carlos asked pulling Nancy aside "No I thought he was with you ." Nancy said, "What did you do !" Nancy said "Nothing he just - he freaked out when I saw his scars ..." Carlos said, "You tell a fucking soul and I'll murder you ." Nancy said

He couldn't breathe the water it held him back his hands gripped the side of the tub as he held himself under

He shot up from the water his heart raced - it brought him right back suddenly he was gasping for air
