Rem

"Good morning, everyone. I am Miss Leah Tolentino. We will have a graded recitation. Let's start from an atom. What is an atom?" iyon ang binungad niya sa amin. Tuloy tuloy nyang sinabe iyon kaya ako ang nahirapan huminga para sa kanya.

Ang alam ko ay nakaraang linggo lang nag start ang klase dito sa Earth State University. Nauna kami sa Star University, kaya naman hindi ako masyadong nahuhuli sa mga topic dito sa bagong school ko.

Sakto naman yatang ngayon lang pumasok itong lec dahil sa bulungan sa paligid ko.

"Ano ba 'yan! Kapapasok pa lang, recitation agad!" dinig kong bulong ng katabi ko.

"Hindi pa naman ako nakapag-review!" maktol nong isa.

Tsk.

Nagtaas ng kamay 'yung isa naming kaklase.

"Stand up."

"Isn't science all about pushing the boundaries of knowledge and questioning established beliefs?!Just because something hasn't been observed directly doesn't mean it doesn't exist." hindi ko alam kung saan galing ang gigil nya pero nakakatuwang nalulusutan pa rin nya ang mga dahilan ko. Nagpatuloy siya, "Perhaps we should remain open to the possibility of smaller particles beyond atoms, Mister."

Nag-isip ako sandali ng ire-rebutt ko. Saka ako sumagot. "Science is indeed about exploration and discovery. However, until concrete evidence emerges to support the existence of particles smaller than atoms, I'll continue to uphold the notion that atoms are the smallest particles."

Doon ay hindi na siya nakasagot. Ano ka ngayon?

Matapos ang sagutan namin ni beastmode ay doon ko lang napansin na tumahimik pala ang buong classroom.

"Rembrandt Sint Vasquez, ma'am."

Tumango lang ito saka inilista ang pangalan namin sa papel. Nag-discuss pa siya ng tungkol sa molecules at particles-particles pero hindi rin nagtagal 'yon.

"Since you gave me a good performance, class, I will dismiss you early. Review your next topic, class dismiss." Nakangiting batid nito saka nagligpit ng gamit at lumabas na.

Doon lang muling nag-ingay ang paligid pagkalabas ni ma'am.

Nang lingunin ko si beastmode ay nakasalubong ang kilay nito at nagtitiim bagang habang nakatingin sa kawalan.

Tch.

Lumabas na rin ako dahil wala na rin naman akong gagawin sa room na 'yon.

"Wait!"

Napahinto ako nang may tumawag sakin. Nang lingunin ko iyon ay 'yung babaeng maarte kanina, hinihingal ito.

"I'm Bianca, I'm the Queen here," inilahad nya ang kamay nya.

Tumingin lang ako doon saka tumalikod.

"Hey!" habol pa neto pero hindi na ako lumingon pa.

Dumiretso na ako sa Section B at bumungad sakin ang nagsusuntukan na dalawang estudyante sa loob.

Napailing nalang ako.
