As Shiro made his way to the mailbox, Keith intercepted him with a curious expression.

"Where are you off to, Shiro?" Keith inquired.

"Just to check the mailbox," Shiro replied with a yawn.

"Mind if we tag along? Sounds like an adventure," Keith said enthusiastically.

Shiro hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Sure, why not."

Excitedly, Keith rushed to grab his jacket as Shiro headed outside. However, as Shiro reached the mailbox, he turned around to find Keith missing. "Huh?"

Meanwhile, Keith had encountered a pair of mischievous kids. "Hey there, little troublemakers!" he called out playfully. But when they didn't stop, Keith leaped out of their way with a shout. "Hey! Watch where you're going, you overgrown stink bugs!"

The kids halted in their tracks, clearly offended. The cool girl spoke up, "What did you just call us?"

Sensing trouble, Shiro hurried over to Keith, his tone apologetic. "Sorry about that. He didn't mean any harm." With a nervous chuckle, Shiro swiftly steered Keith away.

As they left, the cool boy muttered, "Weirdest guy ever."

Keith's frustration bubbled. "Why should I let them pick on us?"

"Keith, let's not get into fights," Shiro urged calmly.

"But they started it!" Keith protested.

Shiro's voice softened. "It doesn't matter who started it."

All of a sudden, Keith disappeared again.

"A free vacation?" Keith said as Shiro gasps as he sees him talking to a scammer. "Just for listening to your talk? Well, sign me up."

Shiro grabs Keith from his right lock. Now Shiro takes Keith straight back to the Holt residence. He closes the front door.

In the bustling kitchen, Shiro grabbed a can of soda, shut the refrigerator door, and took a quick sip. Observing him, Sam and Colleen exchanged concerned looks.

"Something on your mind, kiddo?" Sam inquired.

Shiro let out a heavy sigh. "Where do I even begin? Keith almost got into a fight and then nearly fell for a scam," he explained wearily.

"He fell for it?" Colleen interjected with surprise.

Shiro rubbed his temples, exhaustion evident in his voice. "It's been exhausting just trying to keep him out of trouble. Since we got here, he's been diving headfirst into every crazy situation imaginable."

"What do you mean?" Sam asked.

Shiro recounted the incident with the neighbor's car, shaking his head as he remembered covering the damage with duct tape. "What about the time he kicked the neighbor's car?"

"Was it really that bad?" Colleen inquired sympathetically.

Shiro nodded grimly. "Bad enough that he actually landed a kid in the hospital."

Colleen raised an eyebrow. "No wonder that family wants compensation for the damages caused."

"Don't forget the whipped cream fiasco, mistaking it for fake snow," Shiro added with a hint of resignation.

Sam chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. "Sounds like you've got your hands full – like being a parent. Slow and steady wins the race. Speaking of which, let me show you how to ease an egg into a pan," he said, moving to crack an egg but accidentally spilling half the shell into the pan.
