That gaze again. Once more, he gazes at me with the same intensity as he did the day before.

When I look into his eyes, I can tell that he's had a few too many drinks.

"Are you feeling okay?" After a moment of stillness, I finally asked him since he didn't move or look away. I'm starting to feel uneasy under his unwavering stare.

He quickly stood up straight. "Uh... Thank you." He uttered those words and attempted to force a smile, but it didn't quite reach his lips. But I couldn't help but notice the tiny dimples that appeared on his cheeks when he smiled.

I took a deep breath.

"You're welcome." I turned around so he could see my back. "Here, you can hold onto my bag if you want," I offered.

"Huh?" He appears confused.

I glanced over at him. "You might need support to stand upright." I proposed.

He attempted to flash a smile once more. I smiled and looked back once more. I sensed a shift and noticed a slight pull on my bag resting on my shoulder. "Thank you." There was a soft murmur.

I chose not to reply but couldn't help but smile to myself.

I locked eyes with Jay, who gave me a confused look from across the space. Jean, who had taken my seat, looked at me with raised eyebrows. I recall he requested to sit between me and Jay, but I declined. To irritate him, I placed my bag in between instead.

Seeing the boy I remembered seeing the day before almost stumbling, I couldn't resist rushing over to him.

It felt like a natural reaction. Quite an unusual one.
