The rest of the night was spent at the Charming family guest palace, with Ella and Kit trying to organize an early morning PR stunt to address the drama of Family Day while Audrey, Delphina, Ben, and Chad debriefed together over the phone until Audrey was pulled away by her grandmother and Chad trekked off in search of food. After that, Delphina and Ben talked for an indeterminable amount of hours before falling asleep on the line.
Ella roused Delphina early the next morning, armed with a group of makeup artists and hairstylists, as well as Delphina's coronation dress, freshly steamed and delivered straight from Auradon Palace.
It was only a few hours before Delphina was ready for the coronation, complete with flawless makeup and hair that was curled to perfection. It wasn't until she settled into the limo with her family that her nerves finally began to fray at the edges. There had been so much chaos and plotting surrounding this stupid ceremony, Delphina had no idea what she would be getting into. The delusional part of her wanted to believe everything would go off without a hitch and she'd go to the after party with her friends and give Ben that one dance and have a great life.
